You sweep them away; they are in their sleep like the grass that sprouts up in the morning.

In the morning it blossoms and flourishes; in the evening it is cut down and withers.

For we are consumed by Your anger, and by Your wrath we are terrified.

You have set our iniquities before You, our hidden things in the light of Your face.

For all our days decline in Your fury; we finish our years as a sigh.

The days of our years, in them are seventy years, or if by strength eighty years; yet their pride is toil and trouble—for it is cut off soon, and we fly away.

Who knows the power of Your anger, for as the fear of You is Your wrath?

So teach us to number our days, that we may bring in a heart of wisdom.

Turn back, O YHWH—until when?—And have compassion on Your servants!

Satisfy us in the morning with Your loving devotion, that we may sing for joy and be glad in all our days.

Let us be glad according to the days You have afflicted us—the years we have seen evil.

Let Your work be shown to Your servants, and Your splendor upon their sons.

And may the favor of YHWH our God come to be upon us, and may You support the work of our hands upon us—and the work of our hands establish!
