4 They say, “Come, and we shall make them disappear as a nation, and the name of Israel will not be remembered anymore.” 5 For, they consulted together in heart; they cut an alliance against You— 6 the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, Moab and the Hagrites, 7 Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek, Philistia with those dwelling in Tyre. 8 Assyria also has joined with them; they have become an arm for the sons of Lot. Selah 9 may You do to them as to Midian, as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the River Kishon. 10 They perished at Endor; they became dung for the earth! 11 Make their nobles like Oreb and like Zeeb, and like Zebah, and like Zalmunna—all their princes— 12 who said, “Let us possess for ourselves the pastures of God.” 13 O my God, set them like the whirling dust, like chaff before the face of the wind! 14 As the fire burns a forest, and as the flame sets the mountains on fire, 15 so may You pursue them with Your tempest and terrify them with Your storm. 16 Fill their faces with shame, and they shall seek Your name, O YHWH. 17 Let them be put to shame and dismayed until forever, and may they be ashamed and perish! 18 And they shall know that You—Your name is YHWH—You alone are Most High over all the earth!
