Par

"But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give her light,

and the stars will be falling out of the heavens, and the powers that are in the heavens will be shaken.

And then will they see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory.

And then will He send forth the angels, and gather together His elect from the four winds, from the extremity of earth to the extremity of the heaven.

"Now from the fig tree learn the parable: when its branch already becomes tender, and puts forth leaves, ye know that summer is near;

so also do ye, when ye see these things coming to pass, know that He is near, at the doors.

Verily I say to you, this generation will not pass away, until all these things be accomplished.

The heaven and the earth will pass away; but My words will not pass away.

But concerning that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in Heaven, nor the Son, but the Father.

Take heed, watch [and pray]; for ye know not when the time is.

It is as when a man away from home, having left his house, and having given authority to his servants, to each his work, commanded also the porter to watch.

Watch, therefore, for ye know not when the master of the house is coming, at evening, or at midnight, or at cock-crowing, or in the morning;

lest, coming suddenly, he find you sleeping.

And what I say to you, I say to all, 'Watch.'"
