1 Thus when the Lord knew when the Pharisees heard that Jesus is making and baptizing more disciples than John 2 (truly Jesus himself was not baptizing, but His disciples), 3 He left Judea and came again into Galilee. 4 And it behooved Him to go through Samaria. 5 Then He comes into a city of Samaria, called Sychar, near the place which Jacob gave to his son Joseph. 6 And the well of Jacob was there. Then Jesus having become weary from the journey, was sitting thus by the well: it was about the sixth hour. 7 A woman comes from Samaria to draw water. Jesus says to her, Give me to drink.
