3 Be merciful to me, O Lord, for I call to You all day long. Be gracious to me, O Lord, for to you do I cry all the day. have mercy on me, Lord, for I call to you all day long.
4 Bring joy to Your servant, for to You, O Lord, I lift up my soul. Gladden the soul of your servant, for to you, O Lord, do I lift up my soul. Bring joy to your servant, Lord, for I put my trust in you.
5 For You, O Lord, are kind and forgiving, rich in loving devotion to all who call on You. For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you. You, Lord, are forgiving and good, abounding in love to all who call to you.
6 Hear my prayer, O LORD, and attend to my plea for mercy. Give ear, O LORD, to my prayer; listen to my plea for grace. Hear my prayer, LORD; listen to my cry for mercy.
7 In the day of my distress I call on You, because You answer me. In the day of my trouble I call upon you, for you answer me. When I am in distress, I call to you, because you answer me.
8 O Lord, there is none like You among the gods, nor any works like Yours. There is none like you among the gods, O Lord, nor are there any works like yours. Among the gods there is none like you, Lord; no deeds can compare with yours.
9 All the nations You have made will come and bow before You, O Lord, and they will glorify Your name. All the nations you have made shall come and worship before you, O Lord, and shall glorify your name. All the nations you have made will come and worship before you, Lord; they will bring glory to your name.
10 For You are great and perform wonders; You alone are God. For you are great and do wondrous things; you alone are God. For you are great and do marvelous deeds; you alone are God.
11 Teach me Your way, O LORD, that I may walk in Your truth. Give me an undivided heart, that I may fear Your name. 13 For great is Your loving devotion to me; You have delivered me from the depths of Sheol. For great is your steadfast love toward me; you have delivered my soul from the depths of Sheol. For great is your love toward me; you have delivered me from the depths, from the realm of the dead.
14 The arrogant rise against me, O God; a band of ruthless men seeks my life; they have no regard for You. O God, insolent men have risen up against me; a band of ruthless men seeks my life, and they do not set you before them. Arrogant foes are attacking me, O God; ruthless people are trying to kill me— they have no regard for you.
15 But You, O Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in loving devotion and faithfulness. But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness. 16 Turn to me and have mercy; grant Your strength to Your servant; save the son of Your maidservant. 17 Show me a sign of Your goodness, that my enemies may see and be ashamed; for You, O LORD, have helped me and comforted me.
