A Prayer of David. Incline Your ear, O YHWH; answer me, for I am afflicted and in need. Incline your ear, O LORD, and answer me, for I am poor and needy. A prayer of David. Hear me, LORD, and answer me, for I am poor and needy.
May You guard my life, for am I faithful; may You save Your servant—the one trusting in You—You my God. Preserve my life, for I am godly; save your servant, who trusts in you—you are my God. Guard my life, for I am faithful to you; save your servant who trusts in you. You are my God;
Show favor to me, O Lord, for to You I call out all the day. Be gracious to me, O Lord, for to you do I cry all the day. have mercy on me, Lord, for I call to you all day long.
Make glad the soul of Your servant, for to You, O Lord, I lift up my soul. Gladden the soul of your servant, for to you, O Lord, do I lift up my soul. Bring joy to your servant, Lord, for I put my trust in you.
For You, O Lord, are good and forgiving, and abundant in in loving devotion to all those calling on You. For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you. You, Lord, are forgiving and good, abounding in love to all who call to you.
Give ear, O YHWH, to my prayer, and attend to the voice of my pleas. Give ear, O LORD, to my prayer; listen to my plea for grace. Hear my prayer, LORD; listen to my cry for mercy.
In the day of my distress I call on you, for You will answer me! In the day of my trouble I call upon you, for you answer me. When I am in distress, I call to you, because you answer me.
None like You is among the gods, O Lord, and not like Your works. There is none like you among the gods, O Lord, nor are there any works like yours. Among the gods there is none like you, Lord; no deeds can compare with yours.
All the nations whom You have made shall come and bow down before Your face, O Lord, and they will glorify Your name. All the nations you have made shall come and worship before you, O Lord, and shall glorify your name. All the nations you have made will come and worship before you, Lord; they will bring glory to your name.
For You are great, and the One doing wonders; You are God—You alone. For you are great and do wondrous things; you alone are God. For you are great and do marvelous deeds; you alone are God.
Instruct me, O YHWH, in Your way, and I will walk in Your truth; unite my heart to fear Your name. Teach me your way, O LORD, that I may walk in your truth; unite my heart to fear your name. Teach me your way, LORD, that I may rely on your faithfulness; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name.
I will confess You, O Lord my God, with all my heart, and I will glorify Your name forever. I give thanks to you, O Lord my God, with my whole heart, and I will glorify your name forever. I will praise you, Lord my God, with all my heart; I will glorify your name forever.
For Your loving devotion is great toward me. And You have delivered my soul from the depths of Sheol. For great is your steadfast love toward me; you have delivered my soul from the depths of Sheol. For great is your love toward me; you have delivered me from the depths, from the realm of the dead.
O God, arrogant ones have risen against me, and a gathering of ruthless ones have sought my life; and they do not set You before them. O God, insolent men have risen up against me; a band of ruthless men seeks my life, and they do not set you before them. Arrogant foes are attacking me, O God; ruthless people are trying to kill me— they have no regard for you.
But You, O Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger and abounding in in loving devotion and faithfulness. But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness. But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.
Turn to me and show favor to me; give Your strength to Your servant, and give salvation to the son of Your maidservant. Turn to me and be gracious to me; give your strength to your servant, and save the son of your maidservant. Turn to me and have mercy on me; show your strength in behalf of your servant; save me, because I serve you just as my mother did.
Make with me a sign for good, and those hating me will see it and be put to shame! For You, YHWH, have helped me and comforted me! Show me a sign of your favor, that those who hate me may see and be put to shame because you, LORD, have helped me and comforted me. Give me a sign of your goodness, that my enemies may see it and be put to shame, for you, LORD, have helped me and comforted me.
