2 Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh, stir up Your might And come to save us! Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh, stir up your might and come to save us! before Ephraim, Benjamin and Manasseh. Awaken your might; come and save us.
3 O God, restore us And cause Your face to shine upon us, that we would be saved. Restore us, O God; let your face shine, that we may be saved! Restore us, O God; make your face shine on us, that we may be saved.
4 O Yahweh God of hosts, How long will You smolder against the prayer of Your people? O LORD God of hosts, how long will you be angry with your people’s prayers? How long, LORD God Almighty, will your anger smolder against the prayers of your people?
5 You have fed them with the bread of tears, And You have made them to drink tears in large measure. You have fed them with the bread of tears and given them tears to drink in full measure. You have fed them with the bread of tears; you have made them drink tears by the bowlful.
6 You set us as an object of strife to our neighbors, And our enemies mock us among themselves. You make us an object of contention for our neighbors, and our enemies laugh among themselves. You have made us an object of derision to our neighbors, and our enemies mock us.
7 O God of hosts, restore us And cause Your face to shine upon us, that we might be saved. Restore us, O God of hosts; let your face shine, that we may be saved! Restore us, God Almighty; make your face shine on us, that we may be saved.
8 You removed a vine from Egypt; You drove out the nations and then You planted it. You brought a vine out of Egypt; you drove out the nations and planted it. You transplanted a vine from Egypt; you drove out the nations and planted it.
9 You cleared the ground before it, And it took deep root and filled the land. You cleared the ground for it; it took deep root and filled the land. You cleared the ground for it, and it took root and filled the land.
10 The mountains were covered with its shadow, And the cedars of God with its boughs. The mountains were covered with its shade, the mighty cedars with its branches. The mountains were covered with its shade, the mighty cedars with its branches.

12 Why have You broken down its hedges, So that all who pass that way pick its fruit? Why then have you broken down its walls, so that all who pass along the way pluck its fruit? Why have you broken down its walls so that all who pass by pick its grapes?
13 A boar from the forest devours it And whatever moves in the field feeds on it. The boar from the forest ravages it, and all that move in the field feed on it. Boars from the forest ravage it, and insects from the fields feed on it.
14 O God of hosts, return now, we beseech You; Look down from heaven and see, and visit this vine, Turn again, O God of hosts! Look down from heaven, and see; have regard for this vine, Return to us, God Almighty! Look down from heaven and see! Watch over this vine,
15 Even the sapling which Your right hand has planted, And on the son whom You have strengthened for Yourself. the stock that your right hand planted, and for the son whom you made strong for yourself. the root your right hand has planted, the son you have raised up for yourself.
16 It is burned with fire, it is cut down; They perish at the rebuke of Your face. They have burned it with fire; they have cut it down; may they perish at the rebuke of your face! Your vine is cut down, it is burned with fire; at your rebuke your people perish.
17 Let Your hand be upon the man of Your right hand, Upon the son of man whom You made strong for Yourself. But let your hand be on the man of your right hand, the son of man whom you have made strong for yourself! Let your hand rest on the man at your right hand, the son of man you have raised up for yourself.
18 Then we shall not turn back from You; Revive us, and we will call upon Your name. Then we shall not turn back from you; give us life, and we will call upon your name! Then we will not turn away from you; revive us, and we will call on your name.
19 O Yahweh God of hosts, restore us; Cause Your face to shine upon us, that we might be saved. Restore us, O LORD God of hosts! Let your face shine, that we may be saved! Restore us, LORD God Almighty; make your face shine on us, that we may be saved.
