A Psalm of Asaph. God of gods, YHWH, speaks and calls the earth, from the rising of the sun to the going down. The Mighty One, God the LORD, speaks and summons the earth from the rising of the sun to its setting. A psalm of Asaph. The Mighty One, God, the LORD, speaks and summons the earth from the rising of the sun to where it sets.
From Zion, the perfection of beauty, God shines forth. Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God shines forth. From Zion, perfect in beauty, God shines forth.
Our God comes and will not be silent; before His face a fire devours, and all around Him it will storm exceedingly. Our God comes; he does not keep silence; before him is a devouring fire, around him a mighty tempest. Our God comes and will not be silent; a fire devours before him, and around him a tempest rages.
He calls to the heavens from above, and to the earth, for the judging of His people: He calls to the heavens above and to the earth, that he may judge his people: He summons the heavens above, and the earth, that he may judge his people:
“Gather to Me My holy ones, those having cut a covenant with Me by sacrifice.” “Gather to me my faithful ones, who made a covenant with me by sacrifice!” “Gather to me this consecrated people, who made a covenant with me by sacrifice.”
And let the heavens declare His righteousness—for God Himself is Judge. Selah The heavens declare his righteousness, for God himself is judge! Selah And the heavens proclaim his righteousness, for he is a God of justice.
“Hear, O My people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify against you: I am God, your God. “Hear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, I will testify against you. I am God, your God. “Listen, my people, and I will speak; I will testify against you, Israel: I am God, your God.
It is not over your sacrifices that I rebuke you, or your burnt offerings before me continually. Not for your sacrifices do I rebuke you; your burnt offerings are continually before me. I bring no charges against you concerning your sacrifices or concerning your burnt offerings, which are ever before me.
I will not take a bull from your house or male goats from your folds. I will not accept a bull from your house or goats from your folds. I have no need of a bull from your stall or of goats from your pens,
For every living thing of the forest is unto Me, and the cattle on a thousand hills. For every beast of the forest is mine, the cattle on a thousand hills. for every animal of the forest is mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills.
I know every bird of the mountains, and the wild beast of the field is unto Me. I know all the birds of the hills, and all that moves in the field is mine. I know every bird in the mountains, and the insects in the fields are mine.
If I were hungry, I would not say it to you, for the world and its fullness is to Me. “If I were hungry, I would not tell you, for the world and its fullness are mine. If I were hungry I would not tell you, for the world is mine, and all that is in it.
Do I eat the flesh of bulls, and do I drink the blood of goats? Do I eat the flesh of bulls or drink the blood of goats? Do I eat the flesh of bulls or drink the blood of goats?
Make a sacrifice of thanksgiving to God, and fulfill to the Most High your vows. Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving, and perform your vows to the Most High, “Sacrifice thank offerings to God, fulfill your vows to the Most High,
And call on Me in the day of distress, and I will rescue you, and you will glorify Me.” and call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.” and call on me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me.”
And to the wicked God says, “What to you is to recount My statutes, and to lift up My covenant upon your mouth? But to the wicked God says: “What right have you to recite my statutes or take my covenant on your lips? But to the wicked person, God says: “What right have you to recite my laws or take my covenant on your lips?
And you have hated instruction, and cast My words behind you! For you hate discipline, and you cast my words behind you. You hate my instruction and cast my words behind you.
If you see a thief, then you are pleased with him, and your portion is with those committing adultery. If you see a thief, you are pleased with him, and you keep company with adulterers. When you see a thief, you join with him; you throw in your lot with adulterers.
With your mouth you send forth evil, and your tongue weaves deceit. “You give your mouth free rein for evil, and your tongue frames deceit. You use your mouth for evil and harness your tongue to deceit.
You sit against your brother and speak; against the son of your mother you place fault. You sit and speak against your brother; you slander your own mother’s son. You sit and testify against your brother and slander your own mother’s son.
These things you have done, and I kept silent; you thought I was just like you. I will rebuke you and set in array before your eyes. These things you have done, and I have been silent; you thought that I was one like yourself. But now I rebuke you and lay the charge before you. When you did these things and I kept silent, you thought I was exactly like you. But I now arraign you and set my accusations before you.
Understand this, please, you forgetting God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there is no one to deliver! “Mark this, then, you who forget God, lest I tear you apart, and there be none to deliver! “Consider this, you who forget God, or I will tear you to pieces, with no one to rescue you:
The one making a sacrifice of thanksgiving honors Me, and he who sets his path, I will make to look on the salvation of God.” The one who offers thanksgiving as his sacrifice glorifies me; to one who orders his way rightly I will show the salvation of God!” Those who sacrifice thank offerings honor me, and to the blameless I will show my salvation.”
