Rejoice, ye just, in Jehovah, praise being suitable for the upright. Shout for joy in the LORD, O you righteous! Praise befits the upright. Sing joyfully to the LORD, you righteous; it is fitting for the upright to praise him.
Confess to Jehovah upon the harp: upon an instrument of ten strings play ye to him. Give thanks to the LORD with the lyre; make melody to him with the harp of ten strings! Praise the LORD with the harp; make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre.
Sing to him a new song; make cheerful playing with a loud noise. Sing to him a new song; play skillfully on the strings, with loud shouts. Sing to him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy.
For straight the word of Jehovah, and all his work in faithfulness. For the word of the LORD is upright, and all his work is done in faithfulness. For the word of the LORD is right and true; he is faithful in all he does.
He loved justice and judgment: the earth was filled with the mercy of Jehovah. He loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the steadfast love of the LORD. The LORD loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of his unfailing love.
By the word of Jehovah the heavens were made, and by the spirit of his mouth all their army. By the word of the LORD the heavens were made, and by the breath of his mouth all their host. By the word of the LORD the heavens were made, their starry host by the breath of his mouth.
He heaped up the waters of the sea as a mound: he gave the depths into storehouses. He gathers the waters of the sea as a heap; he puts the deeps in storehouses. He gathers the waters of the sea into jars; he puts the deep into storehouses.
All the earth shall fear from Jehovah: and of him shall all dwelling in the habitable globe be afraid. Let all the earth fear the LORD; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him! Let all the earth fear the LORD; let all the people of the world revere him.
For he said, and it shall be; he commanded, and it will stand. For he spoke, and it came to be; he commanded, and it stood firm. For he spoke, and it came to be; he commanded, and it stood firm.
Jehovah made vain the counsel of the nations: he brought the purposes of the peoples to nought. The LORD brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; he frustrates the plans of the peoples. The LORD foils the plans of the nations; he thwarts the purposes of the peoples.
The counsel of Jehovah shall stand forever, the purposes of his heart to generation and generation. The counsel of the LORD stands forever, the plans of his heart to all generations. But the plans of the LORD stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations.
Happy the nation to whom Jehovah is his God; the people he chose for an inheritance to him. Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people whom he has chosen as his heritage! Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people he chose for his inheritance.
Jehovah looked from the heavens; he saw all the sons of man. The LORD looks down from heaven; he sees all the children of man; From heaven the LORD looks down and sees all mankind;
From his prepared dwelling he viewed all dwelling in the earth. from where he sits enthroned he looks out on all the inhabitants of the earth, from his dwelling place he watches all who live on earth—
He formed their heart together, understanding all their works. he who fashions the hearts of them all and observes all their deeds. he who forms the hearts of all, who considers everything they do.
The king was not saved by much strength: the strong one will not be delivered by much power. The king is not saved by his great army; a warrior is not delivered by his great strength. No king is saved by the size of his army; no warrior escapes by his great strength.
The horse was false to salvation, and he shall not deliver by the multitude of his strength. The war horse is a false hope for salvation, and by its great might it cannot rescue. A horse is a vain hope for deliverance; despite all its great strength it cannot save.
Behold, the eye of Jehovah upon those fearing him, upon those hoping for his mercy; Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his steadfast love, But the eyes of the LORD are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love,
To deliver their soul from death, and to save them alive in famine. that he may deliver their soul from death and keep them alive in famine. to deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine.
Our soul waited for Jehovah: he our help and our shield. Our soul waits for the LORD; he is our help and our shield. We wait in hope for the LORD; he is our help and our shield.
For in him our heart shall rejoice, for in his holy name we trusted. For our heart is glad in him, because we trust in his holy name. In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name.
Thy mercy, O Jehovah, shall be upon us according as we hoped for thee. Let your steadfast love, O LORD, be upon us, even as we hope in you. May your unfailing love be with us, LORD, even as we put our hope in you.
