1 A song of ascents. Out of the depths I cry to You, O LORD! Out of the depths I cry to you, O LORD! A Song of degrees. Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O LORD. A Song of Ascents. Out of the depths I have cried to You, LORD. A song of ascents. Out of the depths I cry to you, LORD;
2 O Lord, hear my voice; let Your ears be attentive to my plea for mercy. O Lord, hear my voice! Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my pleas for mercy! Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications. Lord, hear my voice! Let Your ears be attentive To the sound of my pleadings. Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to my cry for mercy.
3 If You, O LORD, kept track of iniquities, then who, O Lord, could stand? If you, O LORD, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand? If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand? If You, LORD, were to keep <i>account of</i> guilty deeds, Lord, who could stand? If you, LORD, kept a record of sins, Lord, who could stand?
4 But with You there is forgiveness, so that You may be feared. But with you there is forgiveness, that you may be feared. But <i>there is</i> forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared. But there is forgiveness with You, So that You may be revered. But with you there is forgiveness, so that we can, with reverence, serve you.
5 I wait for the LORD; my soul does wait, and in His word I put my hope. I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in his word I hope; I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope. I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, And I wait for His word. I wait for the LORD, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope.
6 My soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning— more than watchmen wait for the morning. my soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen for the morning, more than watchmen for the morning. My soul <i>waiteth</i> for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: <i>I say, more than</i> they that watch for the morning. My soul <i>waits in hope</i> for the Lord More than the watchmen for the morning; <i>Yes, more than</i> the watchmen for the morning. I wait for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning, more than watchmen wait for the morning.
7 O Israel, put your hope in the LORD, for with the LORD is loving devotion, and with Him is redemption in abundance. O Israel, hope in the LORD! For with the LORD there is steadfast love, and with him is plentiful redemption. Let Israel hope in the LORD: for with the LORD <i>there is</i> mercy, and with him <i>is</i> plenteous redemption. Israel, wait for the LORD; For with the LORD there is mercy, And with Him is abundant redemption. Israel, put your hope in the LORD, for with the LORD is unfailing love and with him is full redemption.
8 And He will redeem Israel from all iniquity. And he will redeem Israel from all his iniquities. And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities. And He will redeem Israel From all his guilty deeds. He himself will redeem Israel from all their sins.
