Not to us, O YHWH, not to us, || But to Your Name give glory, || For Your kindness, for Your truth. Not to us, O LORD, not to us, but to your name give glory, for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness! Not to us, LORD, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness.
Why do the nations say, “Where, pray, [is] their God?” Why should the nations say, “Where is their God?” Why do the nations say, “Where is their God?”
And our God [is] in the heavens, || All that He has pleased He has done. Our God is in the heavens; he does all that he pleases. Our God is in heaven; he does whatever pleases him.
Their idols [are] silver and gold, work of man’s hands, Their idols are silver and gold, the work of human hands. But their idols are silver and gold, made by human hands.
They have a mouth, and they do not speak, || They have eyes, and they do not see, They have mouths, but do not speak; eyes, but do not see. They have mouths, but cannot speak, eyes, but cannot see.
They have ears, and they do not hear, || They have a nose, and they do not smell, They have ears, but do not hear; noses, but do not smell. They have ears, but cannot hear, noses, but cannot smell.
Their hands, but they do not handle, || Their feet, and they do not walk; They have hands, but do not feel; feet, but do not walk; and they do not make a sound in their throat. They have hands, but cannot feel, feet, but cannot walk, nor can they utter a sound with their throats.
Nor do they mutter through their throat, || Their makers are like them, || Everyone who is trusting in them. Those who make them become like them; so do all who trust in them. Those who make them will be like them, and so will all who trust in them.
O Israel, trust in YHWH, “He [is] their help and their shield.” O Israel, trust in the LORD! He is their help and their shield. All you Israelites, trust in the LORD— he is their help and shield.
O house of Aaron, trust in YHWH, “He [is] their help and their shield.” O house of Aaron, trust in the LORD! He is their help and their shield. House of Aaron, trust in the LORD— he is their help and shield.
You fearing YHWH, trust in YHWH, “He [is] their help and their shield.” You who fear the LORD, trust in the LORD! He is their help and their shield. You who fear him, trust in the LORD— he is their help and shield.
YHWH has remembered us, He blesses, || He blesses the house of Israel, || He blesses the house of Aaron, The LORD has remembered us; he will bless us; he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron; The LORD remembers us and will bless us: He will bless his people Israel, he will bless the house of Aaron,
He blesses those fearing YHWH, || The small with the great. he will bless those who fear the LORD, both the small and the great. he will bless those who fear the LORD— small and great alike.
YHWH adds to you—to you and to your sons. May the LORD give you increase, you and your children! May the LORD cause you to flourish, both you and your children.
Blessed [are] you of YHWH, || Maker of the heavens and earth, May you be blessed by the LORD, who made heaven and earth! May you be blessed by the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.
The heavens—the heavens [are] YHWH’s, || And He has given the earth to sons of men; The heavens are the LORD’s heavens, but the earth he has given to the children of man. The highest heavens belong to the LORD, but the earth he has given to mankind.
The dead do not praise YAH, || Nor any going down to silence. The dead do not praise the LORD, nor do any who go down into silence. It is not the dead who praise the LORD, those who go down to the place of silence;
And we, we bless YAH, || From now on, and for all time. Praise YAH! But we will bless the LORD from this time forth and forevermore. Praise the LORD! it is we who extol the LORD, both now and forevermore. Praise the LORD.
