1 And on the Sabbath having passed, Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of James and Salome bought spices so that, having come, they might anoint Him. When the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices, so that they might go and anoint him. When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices so that they might go to anoint Jesus’ body.
2 And very early on the first of the Sabbaths, they come to the tomb at the sun having arisen. And very early on the first day of the week, when the sun had risen, they went to the tomb. Very early on the first day of the week, just after sunrise, they were on their way to the tomb
3 And they were saying among themselves, “Who will roll away the stone for us out from the door of the tomb?” And they were saying to one another, “Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance of the tomb?” and they asked each other, “Who will roll the stone away from the entrance of the tomb?”
4 And having looked up, they see that the stone has been rolled away—for it was exceedingly large. And looking up, they saw that the stone had been rolled back—it was very large. But when they looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had been rolled away.
5 And having entered into the tomb, they saw a young man clothed in a white robe sitting on the right, and they were greatly amazed. And entering the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, dressed in a white robe, and they were alarmed. As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed.
6 Now he says to them, “Do not be amazed. You⁺ seek Jesus the Nazarene, the One having been crucified. He is risen! He is not here! Behold the place where they laid Him. And he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has risen; he is not here. See the place where they laid him. “Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him.
7 But go, say to His disciples and to Peter, ‘He goes before you⁺ into Galilee. There you⁺ will see Him, as He said to you⁺.’” But go, tell his disciples and Peter that he is going before you to Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.” But go, tell his disciples and Peter, ‘He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.’”
8 And having gone out, they fled from the tomb, for trembling and amazement had seized them. And they spoke nothing to anyone, for they were afraid. And they went out and fled from the tomb, for trembling and astonishment had seized them, and they said nothing to anyone, for they were afraid. Trembling and bewildered, the women went out and fled from the tomb. They said nothing to anyone, because they were afraid.
9 And having risen early on the first of the week, He appeared first to Mary Magdalene, from whom He had cast out seven demons. 10 She, having gone, reported to those having been with Him, mourning and weeping. She went and told those who had been with him, as they mourned and wept. She went and told those who had been with him and who were mourning and weeping.
11 And they, having heard that He is alive and was seen by her, disbelieved. But when they heard that he was alive and had been seen by her, they would not believe it. When they heard that Jesus was alive and that she had seen him, they did not believe it.
12 And after these things, He appeared in another form to two of them as they are walking, going into the country. After these things he appeared in another form to two of them, as they were walking into the country. Afterward Jesus appeared in a different form to two of them while they were walking in the country.
13 And they, having gone, reported to the rest; neither did they believe them. And they went back and told the rest, but they did not believe them. These returned and reported it to the rest; but they did not believe them either.
14 And afterward, in their reclining, He appeared to the Eleven and rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those having seen Him arisen. Afterward he appeared to the eleven themselves as they were reclining at table, and he rebuked them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they had not believed those who saw him after he had risen. Later Jesus appeared to the Eleven as they were eating; he rebuked them for their lack of faith and their stubborn refusal to believe those who had seen him after he had risen.
15 And He said to them, “Having gone into all the world, proclaim the gospel to all the creation. And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.
16 The one having believed and having been baptized will be saved, but the one having disbelieved will be condemned. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.
17 And these signs will accompany those having believed: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues;
18 and with their hands they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it shall never hurt them; they will lay hands upon the sick, and they will be well.” they will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.” they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”
19 Therefore indeed the Lord Jesus, after speaking to them, was taken up into heaven and sat at the right hand of God. So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God. After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God.
20 And they, having gone out, preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word by the accompanying signs. And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message by accompanying signs.]] Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it.
