And YHWH spoke to Moses, saying, The LORD spoke to Moses, saying, The LORD said to Moses,
“Speak to the sons of Israel, and say to them, ‘When a man makes a wonderful vow, in your valuation of his soul to YHWH, “Speak to the people of Israel and say to them, If anyone makes a special vow to the LORD involving the valuation of persons, “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘If anyone makes a special vow to dedicate a person to the LORD by giving the equivalent value,
your valuation, if it is a male from a son of twenty years and up to sixty years old, then your valuation shall be fifty shekels of silver, according to the shekel of the sanctuary. then the valuation of a male from twenty years old up to sixty years old shall be fifty shekels of silver, according to the shekel of the sanctuary. set the value of a male between the ages of twenty and sixty at fifty shekels of silver, according to the sanctuary shekel;
And if it is a female, then your valuation shall be thirty shekels; If the person is a female, the valuation shall be thirty shekels. for a female, set her value at thirty shekels;
and if from a son of five years and up to twenty years old, then your valuation shall be for the male twenty shekels, and for the female ten shekels; If the person is from five years old up to twenty years old, the valuation shall be for a male twenty shekels, and for a female ten shekels. for a person between the ages of five and twenty, set the value of a male at twenty shekels and of a female at ten shekels;
and if from a son of a month and up to five years old, then your valuation shall be for the male five shekels of silver, and for the female your valuation is three shekels of silver; If the person is from a month old up to five years old, the valuation shall be for a male five shekels of silver, and for a female the valuation shall be three shekels of silver. for a person between one month and five years, set the value of a male at five shekels of silver and that of a female at three shekels of silver;
and if from a son of sixty years and above, if it is a male, then your valuation shall be fifteen shekels, and for the female ten shekels. And if the person is sixty years old or over, then the valuation for a male shall be fifteen shekels, and for a female ten shekels. for a person sixty years old or more, set the value of a male at fifteen shekels and of a female at ten shekels.
And if he is poorer than your valuation, then he shall present him before the face of the priest, and the priest shall value him according to mouth, after the reach of the hand who vowed, the priest shall value him. And if someone is too poor to pay the valuation, then he shall be made to stand before the priest, and the priest shall value him; the priest shall value him according to what the vower can afford. If anyone making the vow is too poor to pay the specified amount, the person being dedicated is to be presented to the priest, who will set the value according to what the one making the vow can afford.
And if it is an animal that men may bring as an offering to YHWH, all that he gives of such to YHWH shall be holy. “If the vow is an animal that may be offered as an offering to the LORD, all of it that he gives to the LORD is holy. “’If what they vowed is an animal that is acceptable as an offering to the LORD, such an animal given to the LORD becomes holy.
He shall not substitute it or exchange it, good for bad or bad for good. And if he actually substitutes animal for animal, then it shall be that it and the one exchanged for it shall be holy. He shall not exchange it or make a substitute for it, good for bad, or bad for good; and if he does in fact substitute one animal for another, then both it and the substitute shall be holy. They must not exchange it or substitute a good one for a bad one, or a bad one for a good one; if they should substitute one animal for another, both it and the substitute become holy.
And if it is any unclean animal, which they do not offer as a sacrifice to YHWH, then he shall present the animal before the face of the priest. And if it is any unclean animal that may not be offered as an offering to the LORD, then he shall stand the animal before the priest, If what they vowed is a ceremonially unclean animal—one that is not acceptable as an offering to the LORD—the animal must be presented to the priest,
And the priest shall set a value for it, whether it is good or bad; as you value it, so the priest shall set it. and the priest shall value it as either good or bad; as the priest values it, so it shall be. who will judge its quality as good or bad. Whatever value the priest then sets, that is what it will be.
But if he really redeems it, then he must add a fifth to your valuation. But if he wishes to redeem it, he shall add a fifth to the valuation. If the owner wishes to redeem the animal, a fifth must be added to its value.
And when a man dedicates his house to be holy to YHWH, then the priest shall set a value for it, whether it is good or bad. As the priest values it, so shall it stand. “When a man dedicates his house as a holy gift to the LORD, the priest shall value it as either good or bad; as the priest values it, so it shall stand. “’If anyone dedicates their house as something holy to the LORD, the priest will judge its quality as good or bad. Whatever value the priest then sets, so it will remain.
And if he who dedicated it would redeem his house, then he must add a fifth of the silver of your valuation to it, and it shall be his. And if the donor wishes to redeem his house, he shall add a fifth to the valuation price, and it shall be his. If the one who dedicates their house wishes to redeem it, they must add a fifth to its value, and the house will again become theirs.
And if a man dedicates to YHWH part of a field of his possession, then your valuation shall be according to the seed for it—a homer of barley seed at fifty shekels of silver. “If a man dedicates to the LORD part of the land that is his possession, then the valuation shall be in proportion to its seed. A homer of barley seed shall be valued at fifty shekels of silver. “’If anyone dedicates to the LORD part of their family land, its value is to be set according to the amount of seed required for it—fifty shekels of silver to a homer of barley seed.
If he dedicates his field in the Year of Jubilee, according to your valuation it shall stand. If he dedicates his field from the year of jubilee, the valuation shall stand, If they dedicate a field during the Year of Jubilee, the value that has been set remains.
But if he dedicates his field after the Jubilee, then the priest shall reckon due to him the silver according to the years that remain until the Year of the Jubilee, and it shall be deducted from your valuation. but if he dedicates his field after the jubilee, then the priest shall calculate the price according to the years that remain until the year of jubilee, and a deduction shall be made from the valuation. But if they dedicate a field after the Jubilee, the priest will determine the value according to the number of years that remain until the next Year of Jubilee, and its set value will be reduced.
And if he who dedicates it really redeems the field, he must add a fifth of the silver of your valuation to it, and it shall belong to him. And if he who dedicates the field wishes to redeem it, then he shall add a fifth to its valuation price, and it shall remain his. If the one who dedicates the field wishes to redeem it, they must add a fifth to its value, and the field will again become theirs.
But if he does not want to redeem the field, or if he has sold the field to another man, it shall not be redeemed anymore. But if he does not wish to redeem the field, or if he has sold the field to another man, it shall not be redeemed anymore. If, however, they do not redeem the field, or if they have sold it to someone else, it can never be redeemed.
And the field, when it is released in the Jubilee, shall be holy. As a field devoted to YHWH, it shall be the possession of the priest. But the field, when it is released in the jubilee, shall be a holy gift to the LORD, like a field that has been devoted. The priest shall be in possession of it. When the field is released in the Jubilee, it will become holy, like a field devoted to the LORD; it will become priestly property.
And if one dedicates to YHWH a field which he has bought, which is not a field of his possession, If he dedicates to the LORD a field that he has bought, which is not a part of his possession, “’If anyone dedicates to the LORD a field they have bought, which is not part of their family land,
then the priest shall reckon to him the worth of your valuation up to the Year of the Jubilee, and he shall give your valuation on that day as a holy thing to YHWH. then the priest shall calculate the amount of the valuation for it up to the year of jubilee, and the man shall give the valuation on that day as a holy gift to the LORD. the priest will determine its value up to the Year of Jubilee, and the owner must pay its value on that day as something holy to the LORD.
In the Year of the Jubilee the field shall return to him from whom it was bought, to whom is the possession of the land. In the year of jubilee the field shall return to him from whom it was bought, to whom the land belongs as a possession. In the Year of Jubilee the field will revert to the person from whom it was bought, the one whose land it was.
And all your valuations shall be according to the shekel of the sanctuary; twenty gerahs shall be to the shekel. Every valuation shall be according to the shekel of the sanctuary: twenty gerahs shall make a shekel. Every value is to be set according to the sanctuary shekel, twenty gerahs to the shekel.
But the firstborn that is to YHWH firstborn of the animals, no man shall dedicate, whether it is an ox or a sheep; it belongs to YHWH. “But a firstborn of animals, which as a firstborn belongs to the LORD, no man may dedicate; whether ox or sheep, it is the LORD’s. “’No one, however, may dedicate the firstborn of an animal, since the firstborn already belongs to the LORD; whether an ox or a sheep, it is the LORD’s.
And if an animal is unclean, then he shall redeem it according to your valuation and shall add a fifth to it. Or if it is not redeemed, then it shall be sold according to your valuation. And if it is an unclean animal, then he shall buy it back at the valuation, and add a fifth to it; or, if it is not redeemed, it shall be sold at the valuation. If it is one of the unclean animals, it may be bought back at its set value, adding a fifth of the value to it. If it is not redeemed, it is to be sold at its set value.
Nevertheless any devoted thing that a man may devote to YHWH of all that is unto him, man and beast, or the field of his possession, shall not be sold and it shall not be redeemed. Every devoted thing is holy of holies to YHWH. “But no devoted thing that a man devotes to the LORD, of anything that he has, whether man or beast, or of his inherited field, shall be sold or redeemed; every devoted thing is most holy to the LORD. “’But nothing that a person owns and devotes to the LORD—whether a human being or an animal or family land—may be sold or redeemed; everything so devoted is most holy to the LORD.
Any devoted thing that is devoted to destruction among men shall not be redeemed; it must surely be put to death. No one devoted, who is to be devoted for destruction from mankind, shall be ransomed; he shall surely be put to death. “’No person devoted to destruction may be ransomed; they are to be put to death.
And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the tree, is to YHWH; it is holy to YHWH. “Every tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the trees, is the LORD’s; it is holy to the LORD. “’A tithe of everything from the land, whether grain from the soil or fruit from the trees, belongs to the LORD; it is holy to the LORD.
And if a man really redeems of his tithes, he shall add a fifth to it. If a man wishes to redeem some of his tithe, he shall add a fifth to it. Whoever would redeem any of their tithe must add a fifth of the value to it.
And concerning the tithe of the herd or the flock, the tenth of whatever passes under the rod shall be holy to YHWH. And every tithe of herds and flocks, every tenth animal of all that pass under the herdsman’s staff, shall be holy to the LORD. Every tithe of the herd and flock—every tenth animal that passes under the shepherd’s rod—will be holy to the LORD.
He shall not inquire whether it is good or bad, nor shall he exchange it. And if he actually substitutes, then it shall be that it and the one exchanged for it shall be holy; it shall not be redeemed.’” One shall not differentiate between good or bad, neither shall he make a substitute for it; and if he does substitute for it, then both it and the substitute shall be holy; it shall not be redeemed.” No one may pick out the good from the bad or make any substitution. If anyone does make a substitution, both the animal and its substitute become holy and cannot be redeemed.’”
These are the commandments that YHWH commanded Moses for the sons of Israel on Mount Sinai. These are the commandments that the LORD commanded Moses for the people of Israel on Mount Sinai. These are the commands the LORD gave Moses at Mount Sinai for the Israelites.
