1 And the Lord said to him: Go in thou and all thy house into the ark: for thee I have seen just before me in this generation. Then the LORD said to Noah, “Go into the ark, you and all your household, for I have seen that you are righteous before me in this generation. The LORD then said to Noah, “Go into the ark, you and your whole family, because I have found you righteous in this generation.
2 Of all clean beasts take seven and seven, the male and female. Take with you seven pairs of all clean animals, the male and his mate, and a pair of the animals that are not clean, the male and his mate, Take with you seven pairs of every kind of clean animal, a male and its mate, and one pair of every kind of unclean animal, a male and its mate,
3 But of the beasts that are unclean two and two, the male and female. Of the fowls also of the air seven and seven,the male and the female: that seed may be saved upon the face of the whole earth. and seven pairs of the birds of the heavens also, male and female, to keep their offspring alive on the face of all the earth. and also seven pairs of every kind of bird, male and female, to keep their various kinds alive throughout the earth.
4 For yet a while, and after seven days, I will rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and I will destroy every substance that I have made, from the face of the earth. For in seven days I will send rain on the earth forty days and forty nights, and every living thing that I have made I will blot out from the face of the ground.” Seven days from now I will send rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights, and I will wipe from the face of the earth every living creature I have made.”
5 And Noe did all things which the Lord had commanded him. And Noah did all that the LORD had commanded him. And Noah did all that the LORD commanded him.
6 And he was six hundred years old, when the waters of the flood overflowed the earth. Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters came upon the earth. Noah was six hundred years old when the floodwaters came on the earth.
7 And Noe went in and his sons, his wife and the wives of his sons with him into the ark, because of the waters of the flood. And Noah and his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives with him went into the ark to escape the waters of the flood. And Noah and his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives entered the ark to escape the waters of the flood.
8 And of the beasts clean and unclean, and of fowls, and of every thing that moveth upon the earth, Of clean animals, and of animals that are not clean, and of birds, and of everything that creeps on the ground, Pairs of clean and unclean animals, of birds and of all creatures that move along the ground,
9 Two and two went in to Noe into the ark, male and female, as the Lord had commanded Noe. two and two, male and female, went into the ark with Noah, as God had commanded Noah. male and female, came to Noah and entered the ark, as God had commanded Noah.
10 And after seven days were passed, the waters of the flood overflowed the earth. And after seven days the waters of the flood came upon the earth. And after the seven days the floodwaters came on the earth.
11 In the six hundreth year of the life of Noe in the second month, in the seventeenth day of the month, all the fountains of the great deep were broken up, and the flood gates of heaven were open: In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep burst forth, and the windows of the heavens were opened. In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, on the seventeenth day of the second month—on that day all the springs of the great deep burst forth, and the floodgates of the heavens were opened.
12 And the rain fell upon the earth forty days and forty nights. And rain fell upon the earth forty days and forty nights. And rain fell on the earth forty days and forty nights.
13 In the selfsame day Noe, and Sem, and Cham, and Japheth his sons: his wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, went into the ark: On the very same day Noah and his sons, Shem and Ham and Japheth, and Noah’s wife and the three wives of his sons with them entered the ark, On that very day Noah and his sons, Shem, Ham and Japheth, together with his wife and the wives of his three sons, entered the ark.
14 They and every beast according to its kind, and all the cattle in their kind, and every thing that moveth upon the earth according to its kind, and every fowl according to its kind, and every fowl according to its kind, all birds, and all that fly. they and every beast, according to its kind, and all the livestock according to their kinds, and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth, according to its kind, and every bird, according to its kind, every winged creature. They had with them every wild animal according to its kind, all livestock according to their kinds, every creature that moves along the ground according to its kind and every bird according to its kind, everything with wings.
15 Went in to Noe into the ark, two and two of all flesh, wherein was the breath of life. They went into the ark with Noah, two and two of all flesh in which there was the breath of life. Pairs of all creatures that have the breath of life in them came to Noah and entered the ark.
16 And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the Lord shut him in on the outside. And those that entered, male and female of all flesh, went in as God had commanded him. And the LORD shut him in. The animals going in were male and female of every living thing, as God had commanded Noah. Then the LORD shut him in.
17 And the flood was forty days upon the earth, and the waters increased, and lifted up the ark on high from earth. The flood continued forty days on the earth. The waters increased and bore up the ark, and it rose high above the earth. For forty days the flood kept coming on the earth, and as the waters increased they lifted the ark high above the earth.
18 For they overflowed exceedingly: and filled all on the face of the earth: and the ark was carried upon the waters. The waters prevailed and increased greatly on the earth, and the ark floated on the face of the waters. The waters rose and increased greatly on the earth, and the ark floated on the surface of the water.
19 And the waters prevailed beyond measure upon the earth: and all the high mountains under the whole heaven were covered. And the waters prevailed so mightily on the earth that all the high mountains under the whole heaven were covered. They rose greatly on the earth, and all the high mountains under the entire heavens were covered.
20 The water was fifteen cubits higher than the mountains which it covered. The waters prevailed above the mountains, covering them fifteen cubits deep. The waters rose and covered the mountains to a depth of more than fifteen cubits.
21 And all flesh was destroyed that moved upon the earth, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of beasts, and of all creeping things that creep upon the earth: and all men. And all flesh died that moved on the earth, birds, livestock, beasts, all swarming creatures that swarm on the earth, and all mankind. Every living thing that moved on land perished—birds, livestock, wild animals, all the creatures that swarm over the earth, and all mankind.
22 And all things wherein there is the breath of life on the earth, died. Everything on the dry land in whose nostrils was the breath of life died. Everything on dry land that had the breath of life in its nostrils died.
23 And he destroyed all the substance that was upon the earth, from man to beast, and the creeping things and fowls of the air: and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noe only remained, and they that were with him in the ark. He blotted out every living thing that was on the face of the ground, man and animals and creeping things and birds of the heavens. They were blotted out from the earth. Only Noah was left, and those who were with him in the ark. Every living thing on the face of the earth was wiped out; people and animals and the creatures that move along the ground and the birds were wiped from the earth. Only Noah was left, and those with him in the ark.
24 And the waters prevailed upon the earth a hundred and fifty days. And the waters prevailed on the earth 150 days. The waters flooded the earth for a hundred and fifty days.
