5 Φίλιππος δὲ κατελθὼν εἰς τὴν πόλιν τῆς Σαμαρείας ἐκήρυσσεν αὐτοῖς τὸν Χριστόν Philip went down to the city of Samaria and proclaimed to them the Christ. Philip went down to a city in Samaria and proclaimed the Messiah there.
6 προσεῖχον δὲ οἱ ὄχλοι τοῖς λεγομένοις ὑπὸ τοῦ Φιλίππου ὁμοθυμαδὸν ἐν τῷ ἀκούειν αὐτοὺς καὶ βλέπειν τὰ σημεῖα ἃ ἐποίει And the crowds with one accord paid attention to what was being said by Philip, when they heard him and saw the signs that he did. When the crowds heard Philip and saw the signs he performed, they all paid close attention to what he said.
7 πολλοὶ γὰρ τῶν ἐχόντων πνεύματα ἀκάθαρτα βοῶντα φωνῇ μεγάλῃ ἐξήρχοντο πολλοὶ δὲ παραλελυμένοι καὶ χωλοὶ ἐθεραπεύθησαν For unclean spirits, crying out with a loud voice, came out of many who had them, and many who were paralyzed or lame were healed. For with shrieks, impure spirits came out of many, and many who were paralyzed or lame were healed.
8 ἐγένετο δὲ πολλὴ χαρὰ ἐν τῇ πόλει ἐκείνῃ So there was much joy in that city. So there was great joy in that city.
