Psalm 36
NLT Parallel KJV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New Living TranslationKing James Bible
Sin whispers to the wicked, deep within their hearts. They have no fear of God at all.1To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David the servant of the LORD. The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, that there is no fear of God before his eyes.
In their blind conceit, they cannot see how wicked they really are.2For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity be found to be hateful.
Everything they say is crooked and deceitful. They refuse to act wisely or do good.3The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: he hath left off to be wise, and to do good.
They lie awake at night, hatching sinful plots. Their actions are never good. They make no attempt to turn from evil.4He deviseth mischief upon his bed; he setteth himself in a way that is not good; he abhorreth not evil.
Your unfailing love, O LORD, is as vast as the heavens; your faithfulness reaches beyond the clouds.5Thy mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.
Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains, your justice like the ocean depths. You care for people and animals alike, O LORD.6Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast.
How precious is your unfailing love, O God! All humanity finds shelter in the shadow of your wings.7How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.
You feed them from the abundance of your own house, letting them drink from your river of delights.8They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.
For you are the fountain of life, the light by which we see.9For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.
Pour out your unfailing love on those who love you; give justice to those with honest hearts.10O continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart.
Don’t let the proud trample me or the wicked push me around.11Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked remove me.
Look! Those who do evil have fallen! They are thrown down, never to rise again.12There are the workers of iniquity fallen: they are cast down, and shall not be able to rise.
