Psalm 14
NLT Parallel KJV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New Living TranslationKing James Bible
1Only fools say in their hearts, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, and their actions are evil; not one of them does good!1To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
2The LORD looks down from heaven on the entire human race; he looks to see if anyone is truly wise, if anyone seeks God.2The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.
3But no, all have turned away; all have become corrupt. No one does good, not a single one!3They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
4Will those who do evil never learn? They eat up my people like bread and wouldn’t think of praying to the LORD.4Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the LORD.
5Terror will grip them, for God is with those who obey him.5There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous.
6The wicked frustrate the plans of the oppressed, but the LORD will protect his people.6Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor, because the LORD is his refuge.
7Who will come from Mount Zion to rescue Israel? When the LORD restores his people, Jacob will shout with joy, and Israel will rejoice.7Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! when the LORD bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.
