He created them male and female, and he blessed them and called them “human.” | 2Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created. |
When Adam was 130 years old, he became the father of a son who was just like him—in his very image. He named his son Seth. | 3And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth: |
After the birth of Seth, Adam lived another 800 years, and he had other sons and daughters. | 4And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters: |

When Enosh was 90 years old, he became the father of Kenan. | 9And Enos lived ninety years, and begat Cainan: |
After the birth of Kenan, Enosh lived another 815 years, and he had other sons and daughters. | 10And Enos lived after he begat Cainan eight hundred and fifteen years, and begat sons and daughters: |

When Kenan was 70 years old, he became the father of Mahalalel. | 12And Cainan lived seventy years, and begat Mahalaleel: |
After the birth of Mahalalel, Kenan lived another 840 years, and he had other sons and daughters. | 13And Cainan lived after he begat Mahalaleel eight hundred and forty years, and begat sons and daughters: |
Kenan lived 910 years, and then he died. | 14And all the days of Cainan were nine hundred and ten years: and he died. |
When Mahalalel was 65 years old, he became the father of Jared. | 15And Mahalaleel lived sixty and five years, and begat Jared: |
After the birth of Jared, Mahalalel lived another 830 years, and he had other sons and daughters. | 16And Mahalaleel lived after he begat Jared eight hundred and thirty years, and begat sons and daughters: |

Jared lived 962 years, and then he died. | 20And all the days of Jared were nine hundred sixty and two years: and he died. |
When Enoch was 65 years old, he became the father of Methuselah. | 21And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah: |
After the birth of Methuselah, Enoch lived in close fellowship with God for another 300 years, and he had other sons and daughters. | 22And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: |
