Next Bezalel made the Ark of acacia wood—a sacred chest 45 inches long, 27 inches wide, and 27 inches high.1And Bezaleel made the ark of shittim wood: two cubits and a half was the length of it, and a cubit and a half the breadth of it, and a cubit and a half the height of it:
He overlaid it inside and outside with pure gold, and he ran a molding of gold all around it.2And he overlaid it with pure gold within and without, and made a crown of gold to it round about.
He cast four gold rings and attached them to its four feet, two rings on each side.3And he cast for it four rings of gold, to be set by the four corners of it; even two rings upon the one side of it, and two rings upon the other side of it.
Then he made poles from acacia wood and overlaid them with gold.4And he made staves of shittim wood, and overlaid them with gold.
He inserted the poles into the rings at the sides of the Ark to carry it.5And he put the staves into the rings by the sides of the ark, to bear the ark.
Then he made the Ark’s cover—the place of atonement—from pure gold. It was 45 inches long and 27 inches wide.6And he made the mercy seat of pure gold: two cubits and a half was the length thereof, and one cubit and a half the breadth thereof.
He made two cherubim from hammered gold and placed them on the two ends of the atonement cover.7And he made two cherubims of gold, beaten out of one piece made he them, on the two ends of the mercy seat;
He molded the cherubim on each end of the atonement cover, making it all of one piece of gold.8One cherub on the end on this side, and another cherub on the other end on that side: out of the mercy seat made he the cherubims on the two ends thereof.
The cherubim faced each other and looked down on the atonement cover. With their wings spread above it, they protected it. Building the Table9And the cherubims spread out their wings on high, and covered with their wings over the mercy seat, with their faces one to another; even to the mercy seatward were the faces of the cherubims.
Then Bezalel made the table of acacia wood, 36 inches long, 18 inches wide, and 27 inches high.10And he made the table of shittim wood: two cubits was the length thereof, and a cubit the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof:
He overlaid it with pure gold and ran a gold molding around the edge.11And he overlaid it with pure gold, and made thereunto a crown of gold round about.
He decorated it with a 3-inch border all around, and he ran a gold molding along the border.12Also he made thereunto a border of an handbreadth round about; and made a crown of gold for the border thereof round about.
Then he cast four gold rings for the table and attached them at the four corners next to the four legs.13And he cast for it four rings of gold, and put the rings upon the four corners that were in the four feet thereof.
The rings were attached near the border to hold the poles that were used to carry the table.14Over against the border were the rings, the places for the staves to bear the table.
He made these poles from acacia wood and overlaid them with gold.15And he made the staves of shittim wood, and overlaid them with gold, to bear the table.
Then he made special containers of pure gold for the table—bowls, ladles, jars, and pitchers—to be used in pouring out liquid offerings. Building the Lampstand16And he made the vessels which were upon the table, his dishes, and his spoons, and his bowls, and his covers to cover withal, of pure gold.
Then Bezalel made the lampstand of pure, hammered gold. He made the entire lampstand and its decorations of one piece—the base, center stem, lamp cups, buds, and petals.17And he made the candlestick of pure gold: of beaten work made he the candlestick; his shaft, and his branch, his bowls, his knops, and his flowers, were of the same:
The lampstand had six branches going out from the center stem, three on each side.18And six branches going out of the sides thereof; three branches of the candlestick out of the one side thereof, and three branches of the candlestick out of the other side thereof:
Each of the six branches had three lamp cups shaped like almond blossoms, complete with buds and petals.19Three bowls made after the fashion of almonds in one branch, a knop and a flower; and three bowls made like almonds in another branch, a knop and a flower: so throughout the six branches going out of the candlestick.
The center stem of the lampstand was crafted with four lamp cups shaped like almond blossoms, complete with buds and petals.20And in the candlestick were four bowls made like almonds, his knops, and his flowers:
There was an almond bud beneath each pair of branches where the six branches extended from the center stem, all made of one piece.21And a knop under two branches of the same, and a knop under two branches of the same, and a knop under two branches of the same, according to the six branches going out of it.
The almond buds and branches were all of one piece with the center stem, and they were hammered from pure gold.22Their knops and their branches were of the same: all of it was one beaten work of pure gold.
He also made seven lamps for the lampstand, lamp snuffers, and trays, all of pure gold.23And he made his seven lamps, and his snuffers, and his snuffdishes, of pure gold.
The entire lampstand, along with its accessories, was made from 75 pounds of pure gold. Building the Incense Altar24Of a talent of pure gold made he it, and all the vessels thereof.
Then Bezalel made the incense altar of acacia wood. It was 18 inches square and 36 inches high, with horns at the corners carved from the same piece of wood as the altar itself.25And he made the incense altar of shittim wood: the length of it was a cubit, and the breadth of it a cubit; it was foursquare; and two cubits was the height of it; the horns thereof were of the same.
He overlaid the top, sides, and horns of the altar with pure gold, and he ran a gold molding around the entire altar.26And he overlaid it with pure gold, both the top of it, and the sides thereof round about, and the horns of it: also he made unto it a crown of gold round about.
He made two gold rings and attached them on opposite sides of the altar below the gold molding to hold the carrying poles.27And he made two rings of gold for it under the crown thereof, by the two corners of it, upon the two sides thereof, to be places for the staves to bear it withal.
He made the poles of acacia wood and overlaid them with gold.28And he made the staves of shittim wood, and overlaid them with gold.
Then he made the sacred anointing oil and the fragrant incense, using the techniques of a skilled incense maker.29And he made the holy anointing oil, and the pure incense of sweet spices, according to the work of the apothecary.
