Psalm 92
NLT Parallel ESV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New Living TranslationEnglish Standard Version
It is good to give thanks to the LORD, to sing praises to the Most High.1It is good to give thanks to the LORD, to sing praises to your name, O Most High;
It is good to proclaim your unfailing love in the morning, your faithfulness in the evening,2to declare your steadfast love in the morning, and your faithfulness by night,
accompanied by a ten-stringed instrument, a harp, and the melody of a lyre.3to the music of the lute and the harp, to the melody of the lyre.
You thrill me, LORD, with all you have done for me! I sing for joy because of what you have done.4For you, O LORD, have made me glad by your work; at the works of your hands I sing for joy.
O LORD, what great works you do! And how deep are your thoughts.5How great are your works, O LORD! Your thoughts are very deep!
Only a simpleton would not know, and only a fool would not understand this:6The stupid man cannot know; the fool cannot understand this:
Though the wicked sprout like weeds and evildoers flourish, they will be destroyed forever.7that though the wicked sprout like grass and all evildoers flourish, they are doomed to destruction forever;
But you, O LORD, will be exalted forever.8but you, O LORD, are on high forever.
Your enemies, LORD, will surely perish; all evildoers will be scattered.9For behold, your enemies, O LORD, for behold, your enemies shall perish; all evildoers shall be scattered.
But you have made me as strong as a wild ox. You have anointed me with the finest oil.10But you have exalted my horn like that of the wild ox; you have poured over me fresh oil.
My eyes have seen the downfall of my enemies; my ears have heard the defeat of my wicked opponents.11My eyes have seen the downfall of my enemies; my ears have heard the doom of my evil assailants.
But the godly will flourish like palm trees and grow strong like the cedars of Lebanon.12The righteous flourish like the palm tree and grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
For they are transplanted to the LORD’s own house. They flourish in the courts of our God.13They are planted in the house of the LORD; they flourish in the courts of our God.
Even in old age they will still produce fruit; they will remain vital and green.14They still bear fruit in old age; they are ever full of sap and green,
They will declare, “The LORD is just! He is my rock! There is no evil in him!”15to declare that the LORD is upright; he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.
