| 18the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, | 18Then, with the eyes of your hearts enlightened, you will know the confidence that is produced by God having called you, the rich glory that is his inheritance among the saints, |
| 19and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power | 19and the unlimited greatness of his power for us who believe, according to the working of his mighty strength, |
| 20which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, | 20which he brought about in the Messiah when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realm. |
| 21far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. | 21He is far above every ruler, authority, power, dominion, and every name that can be named, not only in the present age, but also in the one to come. |
| 22And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, | 22God has put everything under the Messiah's feet and has made him the head of everything for the good of the church, |
| 23which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. | 23which is his body, the fullness of the one who fills everything in every way. |
