NET Parallel NASB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
NET BibleNew American Standard Bible 1995
A psalm of Asaph. God stands in the assembly of El; in the midst of the gods he renders judgment. 1A Psalm of Asaph. God takes His stand in His own congregation; He judges in the midst of the rulers.
He says, "How long will you make unjust legal decisions and show favoritism to the wicked? (Selah) 2How long will you judge unjustly And show partiality to the wicked? Selah.
Defend the cause of the poor and the fatherless! Vindicate the oppressed and suffering! 3Vindicate the weak and fatherless; Do justice to the afflicted and destitute.
Rescue the poor and needy! Deliver them from the power of the wicked! 4Rescue the weak and needy; Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked.
They neither know nor understand. They stumble around in the dark, while all the foundations of the earth crumble. 5They do not know nor do they understand; They walk about in darkness; All the foundations of the earth are shaken.
I thought, 'You are gods; all of you are sons of the Most High.' 6I said, "You are gods, And all of you are sons of the Most High.
Yet you will die like mortals; you will fall like all the other rulers." 7"Nevertheless you will die like men And fall like any one of the princes."
Rise up, O God, and execute judgment on the earth! For you own all the nations. 8Arise, O God, judge the earth! For it is You who possesses all the nations.
