How beautiful are your sandaled feet, O nobleman's daughter! The curves of your thighs are like jewels, the work of the hands of a master craftsman. 1 How beautiful are your sandaled feet, princess! The curves of your thighs are like jewelry, the handiwork of a master.
Your navel is a round mixing bowl--may it never lack mixed wine! Your belly is a mound of wheat, encircled by lilies. 2Your navel is a rounded bowl; it never lacks mixed wine. Your waist is a mound of wheat surrounded by lilies.
Your two breasts are like two fawns, twins of a gazelle. 3Your breasts are like two fawns, twins of a gazelle.
Your neck is like a tower made of ivory. Your eyes are the pools in Heshbon by the gate of Bath-Rabbim. Your nose is like the tower of Lebanon overlooking Damascus. 4Your neck is like a tower of ivory, your eyes like pools in Heshbon by the gate of Bath-rabbim. Your nose is like the tower of Lebanon looking toward Damascus.
Your head crowns you like Mount Carmel. The locks of your hair are like royal tapestries--the king is held captive in its tresses! 5Your head crowns you like Mount Carmel, the hair of your head like purple cloth-- a king could be held captive in your tresses.
How beautiful you are! How lovely, O love, with your delights! 6How beautiful you are and how pleasant, my love, with such delights!
Your stature is like a palm tree, and your breasts are like clusters of grapes. 7Your stature is like a palm tree; your breasts are clusters of fruit.
I want to climb the palm tree, and take hold of its fruit stalks. May your breasts be like the clusters of grapes, and may the fragrance of your breath be like apricots! 8I said, "I will climb the palm tree and take hold of its fruit." May your breasts be like clusters of grapes, and the fragrance of your breath like apricots.
May your mouth be like the best wine, flowing smoothly for my beloved, gliding gently over our lips as we sleep together. 9Your mouth is like fine wine-- W flowing smoothly for my love, gliding past my lips and teeth!
I am my beloved's, and he desires me! 10I belong to my love, and his desire is for me.
Come, my beloved, let us go to the countryside; let us spend the night in the villages. 11Come, my love, let's go to the field; let's spend the night among the henna blossoms.
Let us rise early to go to the vineyards, to see if the vines have budded, to see if their blossoms have opened, if the pomegranates are in bloom--there I will give you my love. 12Let's go early to the vineyards; let's see if the vine has budded, if the blossom has opened, if the pomegranates are in bloom. There I will give you my love.
The mandrakes send out their fragrance; over our door is every delicacy, both new and old, which I have stored up for you, my lover. 13The mandrakes give off a fragrance, and at our doors is every delicacy-- new as well as old. I have treasured them up for you, my love.
