Psalm 16
NASB Parallel KJV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New American Standard Bible 1995King James Bible
1A Mikhtam of David. Preserve me, O God, for I take refuge in You.1Michtam of David. Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.
2I said to the LORD, "You are my Lord; I have no good besides You."2O my soul, thou hast said unto the LORD, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee;
3As for the saints who are in the earth, They are the majestic ones in whom is all my delight.3But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight.
4The sorrows of those who have bartered for another god will be multiplied; I shall not pour out their drink offerings of blood, Nor will I take their names upon my lips.4Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god: their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips.
5The LORD is the portion of my inheritance and my cup; You support my lot.5The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.
6The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places; Indeed, my heritage is beautiful to me.6The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.
7I will bless the LORD who has counseled me; Indeed, my mind instructs me in the night.7I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.
8I have set the LORD continually before me; Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.8I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
9Therefore my heart is glad and my glory rejoices; My flesh also will dwell securely.9Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.
10For You will not abandon my soul to Sheol; Nor will You allow Your Holy One to undergo decay.10For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
11You will make known to me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forever.11Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
