New American Standard Bible 1995 | International Standard Version |
A Song of Ascents. Out of the depths I have cried to You, O LORD. | 1I cry to you from the depths, LORD, |
Lord, hear my voice! Let Your ears be attentive To the voice of my supplications. | 2Lord, listen to my voice; let your ears pay attention to what I ask of you! |
If You, LORD, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand? | 3LORD, if you were to record iniquities, Lord, who could remain standing? |
But there is forgiveness with You, That You may be feared. | 4But with you there is forgiveness, so that you may be feared. |
I wait for the LORD, my soul does wait, And in His word do I hope. | 5I wait for the LORD; my soul waits, and I will hope in his word. |
My soul waits for the Lord More than the watchmen for the morning; Indeed, more than the watchmen for the morning. | 6My soul looks to the Lord more than watchmen look for the morning— more, indeed, than watchmen for the morning. |
O Israel, hope in the LORD; For with the LORD there is lovingkindness, And with Him is abundant redemption. | 7Israel, hope in the LORD! For with the LORD there is gracious love, along with abundant redemption. |
And He will redeem Israel From all his iniquities. | 8And he will redeem Israel from all its sins. |
