King James Bible | New Living Translation |
The LORD reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the LORD is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved. | 1The LORD is king! He is robed in majesty. Indeed, the LORD is robed in majesty and armed with strength. The world stands firm and cannot be shaken. |
Thy throne is established of old: thou art from everlasting. | 2Your throne, O LORD, has stood from time immemorial. You yourself are from the everlasting past. |
The floods have lifted up, O LORD, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their waves. | 3The floods have risen up, O LORD. The floods have roared like thunder; the floods have lifted their pounding waves. |
The LORD on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of the sea. | 4But mightier than the violent raging of the seas, mightier than the breakers on the shore— the LORD above is mightier than these! |
Thy testimonies are very sure: holiness becometh thine house, O LORD, for ever. | 5Your royal laws cannot be changed. Your reign, O LORD, is holy forever and ever. |
