King James Bible | English Standard Version |
The LORD reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the LORD is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved. | 1The LORD reigns; he is robed in majesty; the LORD is robed; he has put on strength as his belt. Yes, the world is established; it shall never be moved. |
Thy throne is established of old: thou art from everlasting. | 2Your throne is established from of old; you are from everlasting. |
The floods have lifted up, O LORD, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their waves. | 3The floods have lifted up, O LORD, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their roaring. |
The LORD on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of the sea. | 4Mightier than the thunders of many waters, mightier than the waves of the sea, the LORD on high is mighty! |
Thy testimonies are very sure: holiness becometh thine house, O LORD, for ever. | 5Your decrees are very trustworthy; holiness befits your house, O LORD, forevermore. |
