| 4Thou art more glorious and excellent than the mountains of prey. | 4You are glorious and more majestic than the everlasting mountains. |
| 5The stouthearted are spoiled, they have slept their sleep: and none of the men of might have found their hands. | 5Our boldest enemies have been plundered. They lie before us in the sleep of death. No warrior could lift a hand against us. |

| 10Surely the wrath of man shall praise thee: the remainder of wrath shalt thou restrain. | 10Human defiance only enhances your glory, for you use it as a weapon. |
| 11Vow, and pay unto the LORD your God: let all that be round about him bring presents unto him that ought to be feared. | 11Make vows to the LORD your God, and keep them. Let everyone bring tribute to the Awesome One. |
| 12He shall cut off the spirit of princes: he is terrible to the kings of the earth. | 12For he breaks the pride of princes, and the kings of the earth fear him. |
