Thou art more glorious and excellent than the mountains of prey.4Glorious are you, more majestic than the mountains full of prey.
The stouthearted are spoiled, they have slept their sleep: and none of the men of might have found their hands.5The stouthearted were stripped of their spoil; they sank into sleep; all the men of war were unable to use their hands.
At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, both the chariot and horse are cast into a dead sleep.6At your rebuke, O God of Jacob, both rider and horse lay stunned.
Thou, even thou, art to be feared: and who may stand in thy sight when once thou art angry?7But you, you are to be feared! Who can stand before you when once your anger is roused?
Thou didst cause judgment to be heard from heaven; the earth feared, and was still,8From the heavens you uttered judgment; the earth feared and was still,
When God arose to judgment, to save all the meek of the earth. Selah.9when God arose to establish judgment, to save all the humble of the earth. Selah
Surely the wrath of man shall praise thee: the remainder of wrath shalt thou restrain.10Surely the wrath of man shall praise you; the remnant of wrath you will put on like a belt.
Vow, and pay unto the LORD your God: let all that be round about him bring presents unto him that ought to be feared.11Make your vows to the LORD your God and perform them; let all around him bring gifts to him who is to be feared,
He shall cut off the spirit of princes: he is terrible to the kings of the earth.12who cuts off the spirit of princes, who is to be feared by the kings of the earth.
