KJV Parallel NIV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT GRK]
King James BibleNew International Version
Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;)1Paul, an apostle--sent not from men nor by a man, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him from the dead--
And all the brethren which are with me, unto the churches of Galatia:2and all the brothers and sisters with me, To the churches in Galatia:
Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ,3Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ,
Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:4who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father,
To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.5to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:6I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel--
Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.7which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ.
But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.8But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God's curse!
As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.9As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God's curse!
For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.10Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.
But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.11I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that the gospel I preached is not of human origin.
For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.12I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it; rather, I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ.
For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it:13For you have heard of my previous way of life in Judaism, how intensely I persecuted the church of God and tried to destroy it.
And profited in the Jews' religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.14I was advancing in Judaism beyond many of my own age among my people and was extremely zealous for the traditions of my fathers.
But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace,15But when God, who set me apart from my mother's womb and called me by his grace, was pleased
To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:16to reveal his Son in me so that I might preach him among the Gentiles, my immediate response was not to consult any human being.
Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus.17I did not go up to Jerusalem to see those who were apostles before I was, but I went into Arabia. Later I returned to Damascus.
Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and abode with him fifteen days.18Then after three years, I went up to Jerusalem to get acquainted with Cephas and stayed with him fifteen days.
But other of the apostles saw I none, save James the Lord's brother.19I saw none of the other apostles--only James, the Lord's brother.
Now the things which I write unto you, behold, before God, I lie not.20I assure you before God that what I am writing you is no lie.
Afterwards I came into the regions of Syria and Cilicia;21Then I went to Syria and Cilicia.
And was unknown by face unto the churches of Judaea which were in Christ:22I was personally unknown to the churches of Judea that are in Christ.
But they had heard only, That he which persecuted us in times past now preacheth the faith which once he destroyed.23They only heard the report: "The man who formerly persecuted us is now preaching the faith he once tried to destroy."
And they glorified God in me.24And they praised God because of me.
