Psalm 3
ISV Parallel NASB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
International Standard VersionNew American Standard Bible
1LORD, I have so many persecutors! Many are rising up against me!1A Psalm of David, when he fled from Absalom his son. O LORD, how my adversaries have increased! Many are rising up against me.
2Many are saying about me, "God will never deliver him!" Interlude2Many are saying of my soul, "There is no deliverance for him in God." Selah.
3But you, LORD, are a shield around me, my glory, and the one who lifts up my head.3But You, O LORD, are a shield about me, My glory, and the One who lifts my head.
4I cry aloud to the LORD, and he answers me from his holy mountain. Interlude4I was crying to the LORD with my voice, And He answered me from His holy mountain. Selah.
5I lie down and sleep, I wake up, because the LORD sustains me.5I lay down and slept; I awoke, for the LORD sustains me.
6I will not fear multitudes of people, who set themselves against me on every side.6I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people Who have set themselves against me round about.
7Arise, LORD! Deliver me, my God! For you strike the jaw of all my enemies, and you break the teeth of the wicked.7Arise, O LORD; save me, O my God! For You have smitten all my enemies on the cheek; You have shattered the teeth of the wicked.
8Deliverance comes from the LORD! May your blessing be on your people. Interlude8Salvation belongs to the LORD; Your blessing be upon Your people! Selah.
