Psalm 7
ESV Parallel NASB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
English Standard VersionNew American Standard Bible 1995
O LORD my God, in you do I take refuge; save me from all my pursuers and deliver me,1A Shiggaion of David, which he sang to the LORD concerning Cush, a Benjamite. O LORD my God, in You I have taken refuge; Save me from all those who pursue me, and deliver me,
lest like a lion they tear my soul apart, rending it in pieces, with none to deliver.2Or he will tear my soul like a lion, Dragging me away, while there is none to deliver.
O LORD my God, if I have done this, if there is wrong in my hands,3O LORD my God, if I have done this, If there is injustice in my hands,
if I have repaid my friend with evil or plundered my enemy without cause,4If I have rewarded evil to my friend, Or have plundered him who without cause was my adversary,
let the enemy pursue my soul and overtake it, and let him trample my life to the ground and lay my glory in the dust. Selah5Let the enemy pursue my soul and overtake it; And let him trample my life down to the ground And lay my glory in the dust. Selah.
Arise, O LORD, in your anger; lift yourself up against the fury of my enemies; awake for me; you have appointed a judgment.6Arise, O LORD, in Your anger; Lift up Yourself against the rage of my adversaries, And arouse Yourself for me; You have appointed judgment.
Let the assembly of the peoples be gathered about you; over it return on high.7Let the assembly of the peoples encompass You, And over them return on high.
The LORD judges the peoples; judge me, O LORD, according to my righteousness and according to the integrity that is in me.8The LORD judges the peoples; Vindicate me, O LORD, according to my righteousness and my integrity that is in me.
Oh, let the evil of the wicked come to an end, and may you establish the righteous— you who test the minds and hearts, O righteous God!9O let the evil of the wicked come to an end, but establish the righteous; For the righteous God tries the hearts and minds.
My shield is with God, who saves the upright in heart.10My shield is with God, Who saves the upright in heart.
God is a righteous judge, and a God who feels indignation every day.11God is a righteous judge, And a God who has indignation every day.
If a man does not repent, God will whet his sword; he has bent and readied his bow;12If a man does not repent, He will sharpen His sword; He has bent His bow and made it ready.
he has prepared for him his deadly weapons, making his arrows fiery shafts.13He has also prepared for Himself deadly weapons; He makes His arrows fiery shafts.
Behold, the wicked man conceives evil and is pregnant with mischief and gives birth to lies.14Behold, he travails with wickedness, And he conceives mischief and brings forth falsehood.
He makes a pit, digging it out, and falls into the hole that he has made.15He has dug a pit and hollowed it out, And has fallen into the hole which he made.
His mischief returns upon his own head, and on his own skull his violence descends.16His mischief will return upon his own head, And his violence will descend upon his own pate.
I will give to the LORD the thanks due to his righteousness, and I will sing praise to the name of the LORD, the Most High.17I will give thanks to the LORD according to His righteousness And will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.
