ESV Parallel HCSB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
English Standard VersionHolman Christian Standard Bible
We give thanks to you, O God; we give thanks, for your name is near. We recount your wondrous deeds.1For the choir director: "Do Not Destroy." A psalm of Asaph. A song. We give thanks to You, God; we give thanks to You, for Your name is near. People tell about Your wonderful works."
“At the set time that I appoint I will judge with equity.2When I choose a time, I will judge fairly.
When the earth totters, and all its inhabitants, it is I who keep steady its pillars. Selah3When the earth and all its inhabitants shake, I am the One who steadies its pillars. Selah
I say to the boastful, ‘Do not boast,’ and to the wicked, ‘Do not lift up your horn;4I say to the boastful, 'Do not boast,' and to the wicked, 'Do not lift up your horn.
do not lift up your horn on high, or speak with haughty neck.’”5Do not lift up your horn against heaven or speak arrogantly.'"
For not from the east or from the west and not from the wilderness comes lifting up,6Exaltation does not come from the east, the west, or the desert,
but it is God who executes judgment, putting down one and lifting up another.7for God is the Judge: He brings down one and exalts another.
For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup with foaming wine, well mixed, and he pours out from it, and all the wicked of the earth shall drain it down to the dregs.8For there is a cup in the LORD's hand, full of wine blended with spices, and He pours from it. All the wicked of the earth will drink, draining it to the dregs.
But I will declare it forever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.9As for me, I will tell about Him forever; I will sing praise to the God of Jacob."
All the horns of the wicked I will cut off, but the horns of the righteous shall be lifted up.10I will cut off all the horns of the wicked, but the horns of the righteous will be lifted up."
