Philistine and Ammonite Oppression

NIVESVNASBKJVHCSB
Again the Israelites did evil in the eyes of the LORD. They served the Baals and the Ashtoreths, and the gods of Aram, the gods of Sidon, the gods of Moab, the gods of the Ammonites and the gods of the Philistines. And because the Israelites forsook the LORD and no longer served him,6The people of Israel again did what was evil in the sight of the LORD and served the Baals and the Ashtaroth, the gods of Syria, the gods of Sidon, the gods of Moab, the gods of the Ammonites, and the gods of the Philistines. And they forsook the LORD and did not serve him.6Then the sons of Israel again did evil in the sight of the LORD, served the Baals and the Ashtaroth, the gods of Aram, the gods of Sidon, the gods of Moab, the gods of the sons of Ammon, and the gods of the Philistines; thus they forsook the LORD and did not serve Him.6And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the LORD, and served Baalim, and Ashtaroth, and the gods of Syria, and the gods of Zidon, and the gods of Moab, and the gods of the children of Ammon, and the gods of the Philistines, and forsook the LORD, and served not him.6Then the Israelites again did what was evil in the sight of the LORD. They worshiped the Baals and the Ashtoreths, the gods of Aram, Sidon, and Moab, and the gods of the Ammonites and the Philistines. They abandoned Yahweh and did not worship Him.
he became angry with them. He sold them into the hands of the Philistines and the Ammonites,7So the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and he sold them into the hand of the Philistines and into the hand of the Ammonites,7The anger of the LORD burned against Israel, and He sold them into the hands of the Philistines and into the hands of the sons of Ammon.7And the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel, and he sold them into the hands of the Philistines, and into the hands of the children of Ammon.7So the LORD's anger burned against Israel, and He sold them to the Philistines and the Ammonites.
who that year shattered and crushed them. For eighteen years they oppressed all the Israelites on the east side of the Jordan in Gilead, the land of the Amorites.8and they crushed and oppressed the people of Israel that year. For eighteen years they oppressed all the people of Israel who were beyond the Jordan in the land of the Amorites, which is in Gilead.8They afflicted and crushed the sons of Israel that year; for eighteen years they afflicted all the sons of Israel who were beyond the Jordan in Gilead in the land of the Amorites.8And that year they vexed and oppressed the children of Israel: eighteen years, all the children of Israel that were on the other side Jordan in the land of the Amorites, which is in Gilead.8They shattered and crushed the Israelites that year, and for 18 years they did the same to all the Israelites who were on the other side of the Jordan in the land of the Amorites in Gilead.
The Ammonites also crossed the Jordan to fight against Judah, Benjamin and Ephraim; Israel was in great distress.9And the Ammonites crossed the Jordan to fight also against Judah and against Benjamin and against the house of Ephraim, so that Israel was severely distressed.9The sons of Ammon crossed the Jordan to fight also against Judah, Benjamin, and the house of Ephraim, so that Israel was greatly distressed.9Moreover the children of Ammon passed over Jordan to fight also against Judah, and against Benjamin, and against the house of Ephraim; so that Israel was sore distressed.9The Ammonites also crossed the Jordan to fight against Judah, Benjamin, and the house of Ephraim. Israel was greatly oppressed,

Then the Israelites cried out to the LORD, "We have sinned against you, forsaking our God and serving the Baals."10And the people of Israel cried out to the LORD, saying, “We have sinned against you, because we have forsaken our God and have served the Baals.”10Then the sons of Israel cried out to the LORD, saying, "We have sinned against You, for indeed, we have forsaken our God and served the Baals."10And the children of Israel cried unto the LORD, saying, We have sinned against thee, both because we have forsaken our God, and also served Baalim.10so they cried out to the LORD, saying, "We have sinned against You. We have abandoned our God and worshiped the Baals."
The LORD replied, "When the Egyptians, the Amorites, the Ammonites, the Philistines,11And the LORD said to the people of Israel, “Did I not save you from the Egyptians and from the Amorites, from the Ammonites and from the Philistines?11The LORD said to the sons of Israel, "Did I not deliver you from the Egyptians, the Amorites, the sons of Ammon, and the Philistines?11And the LORD said unto the children of Israel, Did not I deliver you from the Egyptians, and from the Amorites, from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines?11The LORD said to the Israelites, "When the Egyptians, Amorites, Ammonites, Philistines,
the Sidonians, the Amalekites and the Maonites oppressed you and you cried to me for help, did I not save you from their hands?12The Sidonians also, and the Amalekites and the Maonites oppressed you, and you cried out to me, and I saved you out of their hand.12"Also when the Sidonians, the Amalekites and the Maonites oppressed you, you cried out to Me, and I delivered you from their hands.12The Zidonians also, and the Amalekites, and the Maonites, did oppress you; and ye cried to me, and I delivered you out of their hand.12Sidonians, Amalekites, and Maonites oppressed you, and you cried out to Me, did I not deliver you from their power?
But you have forsaken me and served other gods, so I will no longer save you.13Yet you have forsaken me and served other gods; therefore I will save you no more.13"Yet you have forsaken Me and served other gods; therefore I will no longer deliver you.13Yet ye have forsaken me, and served other gods: wherefore I will deliver you no more.13But you have abandoned Me and worshiped other gods. Therefore, I will not deliver you again.
Go and cry out to the gods you have chosen. Let them save you when you are in trouble!"14Go and cry out to the gods whom you have chosen; let them save you in the time of your distress.”14"Go and cry out to the gods which you have chosen; let them deliver you in the time of your distress."14Go and cry unto the gods which ye have chosen; let them deliver you in the time of your tribulation.14Go and cry out to the gods you have chosen. Let them deliver you in the time of your oppression."

But the Israelites said to the LORD, "We have sinned. Do with us whatever you think best, but please rescue us now."15And the people of Israel said to the LORD, “We have sinned; do to us whatever seems good to you. Only please deliver us this day.”15The sons of Israel said to the LORD, "We have sinned, do to us whatever seems good to You; only please deliver us this day."15And the children of Israel said unto the LORD, We have sinned: do thou unto us whatsoever seemeth good unto thee; deliver us only, we pray thee, this day.15But the Israelites said, "We have sinned. Deal with us as You see fit; only deliver us today!"
Then they got rid of the foreign gods among them and served the LORD. And he could bear Israel's misery no longer.16So they put away the foreign gods from among them and served the LORD, and he became impatient over the misery of Israel.16So they put away the foreign gods from among them and served the LORD; and He could bear the misery of Israel no longer.16And they put away the strange gods from among them, and served the LORD: and his soul was grieved for the misery of Israel.16So they got rid of the foreign gods among them and worshiped the LORD, and He became weary of Israel's misery.
When the Ammonites were called to arms and camped in Gilead, the Israelites assembled and camped at Mizpah.17Then the Ammonites were called to arms, and they encamped in Gilead. And the people of Israel came together, and they encamped at Mizpah.17Then the sons of Ammon were summoned and they camped in Gilead. And the sons of Israel gathered together and camped in Mizpah.17Then the children of Ammon were gathered together, and encamped in Gilead. And the children of Israel assembled themselves together, and encamped in Mizpeh.17The Ammonites were called together, and they camped in Gilead. So the Israelites assembled and camped at Mizpah.
The leaders of the people of Gilead said to each other, "Whoever will take the lead in attacking the Ammonites will be head over all who live in Gilead."18And the people, the leaders of Gilead, said one to another, “Who is the man who will begin to fight against the Ammonites? He shall be head over all the inhabitants of Gilead.”18The people, the leaders of Gilead, said to one another, "Who is the man who will begin to fight against the sons of Ammon? He shall become head over all the inhabitants of Gilead."18And the people and princes of Gilead said one to another, What man is he that will begin to fight against the children of Ammon? he shall be head over all the inhabitants of Gilead.18The rulers of Gilead said to one another, "Which man will lead the fight against the Ammonites? He will be the leader of all the inhabitants of Gilead."
