The LORD said to Moses,1The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,1Again, the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,1And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,1The LORD spoke to Moses: "
"Speak to the Israelites and say to them: 'If anyone makes a special vow to dedicate a person to the LORD by giving the equivalent value,2“Speak to the people of Israel and say to them, If anyone makes a special vow to the LORD involving the valuation of persons,2"Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, 'When a man makes a difficult vow, he shall be valued according to your valuation of persons belonging to the LORD.2Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When a man shall make a singular vow, the persons shall be for the LORD by thy estimation.2Speak to the Israelites and tell them: When someone makes a special vow to the LORD that involves the assessment of people,
set the value of a male between the ages of twenty and sixty at fifty shekels of silver, according to the sanctuary shekel;3then the valuation of a male from twenty years old up to sixty years old shall be fifty shekels of silver, according to the shekel of the sanctuary.3'If your valuation is of the male from twenty years even to sixty years old, then your valuation shall be fifty shekels of silver, after the shekel of the sanctuary.3And thy estimation shall be of the male from twenty years old even unto sixty years old, even thy estimation shall be fifty shekels of silver, after the shekel of the sanctuary.3if the assessment concerns a male from 20 to 60 years old, your assessment is 50 silver shekels measured by the standard sanctuary shekel.
for a female, set her value at thirty shekels;4If the person is a female, the valuation shall be thirty shekels.4'Or if it is a female, then your valuation shall be thirty shekels.4And if it be a female, then thy estimation shall be thirty shekels.4If the person is a female, your assessment is 30 shekels.
NIVESVNASBKJVHCSB
for a person between the ages of five and twenty, set the value of a male at twenty shekels and of a female at ten shekels;5If the person is from five years old up to twenty years old, the valuation shall be for a male twenty shekels, and for a female ten shekels.5'If it be from five years even to twenty years old then your valuation for the male shall be twenty shekels and for the female ten shekels.5And if it be from five years old even unto twenty years old, then thy estimation shall be of the male twenty shekels, and for the female ten shekels.5If the person is from five to 20 years old, your assessment for a male is 20 shekels and for a female 10 shekels.
for a person between one month and five years, set the value of a male at five shekels of silver and that of a female at three shekels of silver;6If the person is from a month old up to five years old, the valuation shall be for a male five shekels of silver, and for a female the valuation shall be three shekels of silver.6But if they are from a month even up to five years old, then your valuation shall be five shekels of silver for the male, and for the female your valuation shall be three shekels of silver.6And if it be from a month old even unto five years old, then thy estimation shall be of the male five shekels of silver, and for the female thy estimation shall be three shekels of silver.6If the person is from one month to five years old, your assessment for a male is five silver shekels, and for a female your assessment is three shekels of silver.
for a person sixty years old or more, set the value of a male at fifteen shekels and of a female at ten shekels.7And if the person is sixty years old or over, then the valuation for a male shall be fifteen shekels, and for a female ten shekels.7If they are from sixty years old and upward, if it is a male, then your valuation shall be fifteen shekels, and for the female ten shekels.7And if it be from sixty years old and above; if it be a male, then thy estimation shall be fifteen shekels, and for the female ten shekels.7If the person is 60 years or more, your assessment is 15 shekels for a male and 10 shekels for a female.
If anyone making the vow is too poor to pay the specified amount, the person being dedicated is to be presented to the priest, who will set the value according to what the one making the vow can afford.8And if someone is too poor to pay the valuation, then he shall be made to stand before the priest, and the priest shall value him; the priest shall value him according to what the vower can afford.8'But if he is poorer than your valuation, then he shall be placed before the priest and the priest shall value him; according to the means of the one who vowed, the priest shall value him.8But if he be poorer than thy estimation, then he shall present himself before the priest, and the priest shall value him; according to his ability that vowed shall the priest value him.8But if one is too poor to pay the assessment, he must present the person before the priest and the priest will set a value for him. The priest will set a value for him according to what the one making the vow can afford."
"'If what they vowed is an animal that is acceptable as an offering to the LORD, such an animal given to the LORD becomes holy.9“If the vow is an animal that may be offered as an offering to the LORD, all of it that he gives to the LORD is holy.9'Now if it is an animal of the kind which men can present as an offering to the LORD, any such that one gives to the LORD shall be holy.9And if it be a beast, whereof men bring an offering unto the LORD, all that any man giveth of such unto the LORD shall be holy.9If the vow involves one of the animals that may be brought as an offering to the LORD, any of these he gives to the LORD will be holy.
NIVESVNASBKJVHCSB
They must not exchange it or substitute a good one for a bad one, or a bad one for a good one; if they should substitute one animal for another, both it and the substitute become holy.10He shall not exchange it or make a substitute for it, good for bad, or bad for good; and if he does in fact substitute one animal for another, then both it and the substitute shall be holy.10'He shall not replace it or exchange it, a good for a bad, or a bad for a good; or if he does exchange animal for animal, then both it and its substitute shall become holy.10He shall not alter it, nor change it, a good for a bad, or a bad for a good: and if he shall at all change beast for beast, then it and the exchange thereof shall be holy.10He may not replace it or make a substitution for it, either good for bad, or bad for good. But if he does substitute one animal for another, both that animal and its substitute will be holy."
If what they vowed is a ceremonially unclean animal--one that is not acceptable as an offering to the LORD--the animal must be presented to the priest,11And if it is any unclean animal that may not be offered as an offering to the LORD, then he shall stand the animal before the priest,11'If, however, it is any unclean animal of the kind which men do not present as an offering to the LORD, then he shall place the animal before the priest.11And if it be any unclean beast, of which they do not offer a sacrifice unto the LORD, then he shall present the beast before the priest:11If the vow involves any of the unclean animals that may not be brought as an offering to the LORD, the animal must be presented before the priest.
who will judge its quality as good or bad. Whatever value the priest then sets, that is what it will be.12and the priest shall value it as either good or bad; as the priest values it, so it shall be.12'The priest shall value it as either good or bad; as you, the priest, value it, so it shall be.12And the priest shall value it, whether it be good or bad: as thou valuest it, who art the priest, so shall it be.12The priest will set its value, whether high or low; the price will be set as the priest makes the assessment for you.
If the owner wishes to redeem the animal, a fifth must be added to its value.13But if he wishes to redeem it, he shall add a fifth to the valuation.13But if he should ever wish to redeem it, then he shall add one-fifth of it to your valuation.13But if he will at all redeem it, then he shall add a fifth part thereof unto thy estimation.13If the one who brought it decides to redeem it, he must add a fifth to the assessed value."
"'If anyone dedicates their house as something holy to the LORD, the priest will judge its quality as good or bad. Whatever value the priest then sets, so it will remain.14“When a man dedicates his house as a holy gift to the LORD, the priest shall value it as either good or bad; as the priest values it, so it shall stand.14'Now if a man consecrates his house as holy to the LORD, then the priest shall value it as either good or bad; as the priest values it, so it shall stand.14And when a man shall sanctify his house to be holy unto the LORD, then the priest shall estimate it, whether it be good or bad: as the priest shall estimate it, so shall it stand.14When a man consecrates his house as holy to the LORD, the priest will assess its value, whether high or low. The price will stand just as the priest assesses it.
NIVESVNASBKJVHCSB
If the one who dedicates their house wishes to redeem it, they must add a fifth to its value, and the house will again become theirs.15And if the donor wishes to redeem his house, he shall add a fifth to the valuation price, and it shall be his.15Yet if the one who consecrates it should wish to redeem his house, then he shall add one-fifth of your valuation price to it, so that it may be his.15And if he that sanctified it will redeem his house, then he shall add the fifth part of the money of thy estimation unto it, and it shall be his.15But if the one who consecrated his house redeems it, he must add a fifth to the assessed value, and it will be his."
"'If anyone dedicates to the LORD part of their family land, its value is to be set according to the amount of seed required for it--fifty shekels of silver to a homer of barley seed.16“If a man dedicates to the LORD part of the land that is his possession, then the valuation shall be in proportion to its seed. A homer of barley seed shall be valued at fifty shekels of silver.16'Again, if a man consecrates to the LORD part of the fields of his own property, then your valuation shall be proportionate to the seed needed for it: a homer of barley seed at fifty shekels of silver.16And if a man shall sanctify unto the LORD some part of a field of his possession, then thy estimation shall be according to the seed thereof: an homer of barley seed shall be valued at fifty shekels of silver.16If a man consecrates to the LORD any part of a field that he possesses, your assessment of value will be proportional to the seed needed to sow it, at the rate of 50 silver shekels for every five bushels of barley seed.
If they dedicate a field during the Year of Jubilee, the value that has been set remains.17If he dedicates his field from the year of jubilee, the valuation shall stand,17'If he consecrates his field as of the year of jubilee, according to your valuation it shall stand.17If he sanctify his field from the year of jubile, according to thy estimation it shall stand.17If he consecrates his field during the Year of Jubilee, the price will stand according to your assessment.
But if they dedicate a field after the Jubilee, the priest will determine the value according to the number of years that remain until the next Year of Jubilee, and its set value will be reduced.18but if he dedicates his field after the jubilee, then the priest shall calculate the price according to the years that remain until the year of jubilee, and a deduction shall be made from the valuation.18'If he consecrates his field after the jubilee, however, then the priest shall calculate the price for him proportionate to the years that are left until the year of jubilee; and it shall be deducted from your valuation.18But if he sanctify his field after the jubile, then the priest shall reckon unto him the money according to the years that remain, even unto the year of the jubile, and it shall be abated from thy estimation.18But if he consecrates his field after the Jubilee, the priest will calculate the price for him in proportion to the years left until the next Year of Jubilee, so that your assessment will be reduced.
If the one who dedicates the field wishes to redeem it, they must add a fifth to its value, and the field will again become theirs.19And if he who dedicates the field wishes to redeem it, then he shall add a fifth to its valuation price, and it shall remain his.19'If the one who consecrates it should ever wish to redeem the field, then he shall add one-fifth of your valuation price to it, so that it may pass to him.19And if he that sanctified the field will in any wise redeem it, then he shall add the fifth part of the money of thy estimation unto it, and it shall be assured to him.19If the one who consecrated the field decides to redeem it, he must add a fifth to the assessed value, and the field will transfer back to him.
NIVESVNASBKJVHCSB
If, however, they do not redeem the field, or if they have sold it to someone else, it can never be redeemed.20But if he does not wish to redeem the field, or if he has sold the field to another man, it shall not be redeemed anymore.20'Yet if he will not redeem the field, but has sold the field to another man, it may no longer be redeemed;20And if he will not redeem the field, or if he have sold the field to another man, it shall not be redeemed any more.20But if he does not redeem the field or if he has sold it to another man, it is no longer redeemable.
When the field is released in the Jubilee, it will become holy, like a field devoted to the LORD; it will become priestly property.21But the field, when it is released in the jubilee, shall be a holy gift to the LORD, like a field that has been devoted. The priest shall be in possession of it.21and when it reverts in the jubilee, the field shall be holy to the LORD, like a field set apart; it shall be for the priest as his property.21But the field, when it goeth out in the jubile, shall be holy unto the LORD, as a field devoted; the possession thereof shall be the priest's.21When the field is released in the Jubilee, it will be holy to the LORD like a field permanently set apart; it becomes the priest's property."
"'If anyone dedicates to the LORD a field they have bought, which is not part of their family land,22If he dedicates to the LORD a field that he has bought, which is not a part of his possession,22'Or if he consecrates to the LORD a field which he has bought, which is not a part of the field of his own property,22And if a man sanctify unto the LORD a field which he hath bought, which is not of the fields of his possession;22If a person consecrates to the LORD a field he has purchased that is not part of his inherited landholding,
the priest will determine its value up to the Year of Jubilee, and the owner must pay its value on that day as something holy to the LORD.23then the priest shall calculate the amount of the valuation for it up to the year of jubilee, and the man shall give the valuation on that day as a holy gift to the LORD.23then the priest shall calculate for him the amount of your valuation up to the year of jubilee; and he shall on that day give your valuation as holy to the LORD.23Then the priest shall reckon unto him the worth of thy estimation, even unto the year of the jubile: and he shall give thine estimation in that day, as a holy thing unto the LORD.23then the priest will calculate for him the amount of the assessment up to the Year of Jubilee, and the person will pay the assessed value on that day as a holy offering to the LORD.
In the Year of Jubilee the field will revert to the person from whom it was bought, the one whose land it was.24In the year of jubilee the field shall return to him from whom it was bought, to whom the land belongs as a possession.24'In the year of jubilee the field shall return to the one from whom he bought it, to whom the possession of the land belongs.24In the year of the jubile the field shall return unto him of whom it was bought, even to him to whom the possession of the land did belong.24In the Year of Jubilee the field will return to the one he bought it from, the original owner.
NIVESVNASBKJVHCSB
Every value is to be set according to the sanctuary shekel, twenty gerahs to the shekel.25Every valuation shall be according to the shekel of the sanctuary: twenty gerahs shall make a shekel.25'Every valuation of yours, moreover, shall be after the shekel of the sanctuary. The shekel shall be twenty gerahs.25And all thy estimations shall be according to the shekel of the sanctuary: twenty gerahs shall be the shekel.25All your assessed values will be measured by the standard sanctuary shekel, 20 gerahs to the shekel."
"'No one, however, may dedicate the firstborn of an animal, since the firstborn already belongs to the LORD; whether an ox or a sheep, it is the LORD's.26“But a firstborn of animals, which as a firstborn belongs to the LORD, no man may dedicate; whether ox or sheep, it is the LORD’s.26'However, a firstborn among animals, which as a firstborn belongs to the LORD, no man may consecrate it; whether ox or sheep, it is the LORD'S.26Only the firstling of the beasts, which should be the LORD'S firstling, no man shall sanctify it; whether it be ox, or sheep: it is the LORD'S.26But no one can consecrate a firstborn of the livestock, whether an animal from the herd or flock, to the LORD, because a firstborn already belongs to the LORD.
If it is one of the unclean animals, it may be bought back at its set value, adding a fifth of the value to it. If it is not redeemed, it is to be sold at its set value.27And if it is an unclean animal, then he shall buy it back at the valuation, and add a fifth to it; or, if it is not redeemed, it shall be sold at the valuation.27But if it is among the unclean animals, then he shall redeem it according to your valuation and add to it one-fifth of it; and if it is not redeemed, then it shall be sold according to your valuation.27And if it be of an unclean beast, then he shall redeem it according to thine estimation, and shall add a fifth part of it thereto: or if it be not redeemed, then it shall be sold according to thy estimation.27If it is one of the unclean livestock, it must be ransomed according to your assessment by adding a fifth of its value to it. If it is not redeemed, it can be sold according to your assessment."
"'But nothing that a person owns and devotes to the LORD--whether a human being or an animal or family land--may be sold or redeemed; everything so devoted is most holy to the LORD.28“But no devoted thing that a man devotes to the LORD, of anything that he has, whether man or beast, or of his inherited field, shall be sold or redeemed; every devoted thing is most holy to the LORD.28'Nevertheless, anything which a man sets apart to the LORD out of all that he has, of man or animal or of the fields of his own property, shall not be sold or redeemed. Anything devoted to destruction is most holy to the LORD.28Notwithstanding no devoted thing, that a man shall devote unto the LORD of all that he hath, both of man and beast, and of the field of his possession, shall be sold or redeemed: every devoted thing is most holy unto the LORD.28Nothing that a man permanently sets apart to the LORD from all he owns, whether a person, an animal, or his inherited landholding, can be sold or redeemed; everything set apart is especially holy to the LORD.
"'No person devoted to destruction may be ransomed; they are to be put to death.29No one devoted, who is to be devoted for destruction from mankind, shall be ransomed; he shall surely be put to death.29'No one who may have been set apart among men shall be ransomed; he shall surely be put to death.29None devoted, which shall be devoted of men, shall be redeemed; but shall surely be put to death.29No person who has been set apart for destruction is to be ransomed; he must be put to death."

Instruction on Tithes

(Deuteronomy 14:22-29; Deuteronomy 26:1-15; Nehemiah 13:10-14)

NIVESVNASBKJVHCSB
"'A tithe of everything from the land, whether grain from the soil or fruit from the trees, belongs to the LORD; it is holy to the LORD.30“Every tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the trees, is the LORD’s; it is holy to the LORD.30'Thus all the tithe of the land, of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the tree, is the LORD'S; it is holy to the LORD.30And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the LORD'S: it is holy unto the LORD.30Every tenth of the land's produce, grain from the soil or fruit from the trees, belongs to the LORD; it is holy to the LORD.
Whoever would redeem any of their tithe must add a fifth of the value to it.31If a man wishes to redeem some of his tithe, he shall add a fifth to it.31'If, therefore, a man wishes to redeem part of his tithe, he shall add to it one-fifth of it.31And if a man will at all redeem ought of his tithes, he shall add thereto the fifth part thereof.31If a man decides to redeem any part of this tenth, he must add a fifth to its value.
Every tithe of the herd and flock--every tenth animal that passes under the shepherd's rod--will be holy to the LORD.32And every tithe of herds and flocks, every tenth animal of all that pass under the herdsman’s staff, shall be holy to the LORD.32'For every tenth part of herd or flock, whatever passes under the rod, the tenth one shall be holy to the LORD.32And concerning the tithe of the herd, or of the flock, even of whatsoever passeth under the rod, the tenth shall be holy unto the LORD.32Every tenth animal from the herd or flock, which passes under the shepherd's rod, will be holy to the LORD.
No one may pick out the good from the bad or make any substitution. If anyone does make a substitution, both the animal and its substitute become holy and cannot be redeemed.'"33One shall not differentiate between good or bad, neither shall he make a substitute for it; and if he does substitute for it, then both it and the substitute shall be holy; it shall not be redeemed.”33He is not to be concerned whether it is good or bad, nor shall he exchange it; or if he does exchange it, then both it and its substitute shall become holy. It shall not be redeemed.'"33He shall not search whether it be good or bad, neither shall he change it: and if he change it at all, then both it and the change thereof shall be holy; it shall not be redeemed.33He is not to inspect whether it is good or bad, and he is not to make a substitution for it. But if he does make a substitution, both the animal and its substitute will be holy; they cannot be redeemed."
