For I am commanding you today to love the LORD your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments, statutes, and ordinances, so that you may live and increase, and the LORD your God may bless you in the land you are entering to possess.
Cross ReferencesDeuteronomy 4:1
Hear now, O Israel, the statutes and ordinances I am teaching you to follow so that you may live, enter, and take possession of the land that the LORD, the God of your fathers, is giving you.
And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.
But if your heart turns away and you do not listen, but are drawn away to bow down to other gods and worship them,
I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you today that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing. So choose life, so that you and your descendants may live,
1 Kings 3:3
And Solomon loved the LORD, walking in the statutes of his father David--except that he sacrificed and burned incense on the high places.
My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments;
If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the best of the land.
