God’s Faithful Messiah
(Genesis 14:17–24; Hebrews 5:1–10)

1A Psalm of David.

1 An utterance of YHWH to my Lord:

“Sit at My right hand,

until I make your enemies

a footstool for Your feet.

2YHWH sends forth the rod of your strength from Zion:

“Rule in the midst of Your enemies!”

3Your people are free-will gifts

in the day of your might,

in the splendors of holiness;

from the womb of the morning,

the dew of your youth is unto you.

4YHWH has sworn,

and He will not change His mind:

“You are a priest forever,

according to the order of Melchizedek.”

5My Lord is at Your right hand;

he will shatter kings in the day of his anger;

6He will judge among the nations, he will fill it with corpses;

he will wound the head of many lands;

7from the brook by the way He will drink.

By this He will lift up the head.
