Transparency

Transparency, in a biblical context, refers to the quality of being open, honest, and clear in one's actions and intentions. The Bible emphasizes the importance of living in the light, where one's deeds are visible and accountable to God and others.

In Ephesians 5:8-9 , Paul exhorts believers: "For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light, for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness, and truth." This passage highlights the transformation expected in a believer's life, moving from hidden deeds of darkness to a transparent life characterized by truth.

Jesus Himself modeled transparency in His ministry. In John 18:20 , He states, "I have spoken openly to the world. I always taught in the synagogues and at the temple, where all the Jews come together. I said nothing in secret." Jesus' openness in His teachings and actions serves as a model for believers to follow, encouraging them to live lives that are open and honest before God and man.

Integrity

Integrity is the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles. It is a steadfast adherence to ethical values and a commitment to doing what is right, regardless of the circumstances. The Bible places a high value on integrity, often associating it with righteousness and uprightness.

Proverbs 11:3 states, "The integrity of the upright guides them, but the perversity of the faithless destroys them." This verse underscores the guiding power of integrity in the life of a believer, contrasting it with the destructive nature of deceit and faithlessness.

The life of Job is a profound biblical example of integrity. Despite severe trials and suffering, Job maintained his integrity before God. In Job 2:3 , the Lord says to Satan, "Have you considered My servant Job? There is no one on earth like him, a man who is blameless and upright, who fears God and shuns evil. And he still maintains his integrity, even though you incited Me against him to ruin him without cause." Job's unwavering commitment to righteousness, even in adversity, exemplifies the biblical ideal of integrity.

The New Testament also emphasizes integrity in the life of a believer. In 2 Corinthians 8:21 , Paul writes, "For we are taking great care to do what is right, not only in the eyes of the Lord but also in the eyes of men." This verse highlights the dual aspect of integrity, which involves being accountable to God and maintaining a good testimony before others.
