The Spirit of God is also promised to believers as a Helper and Comforter. Jesus assures His disciples that the Holy Spirit will guide them into all truth and remind them of His teachings (John 14:26; 16:13). On the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit descends upon the apostles, empowering them to preach the gospel and perform signs and wonders (Acts 2:4).

Role in the Believer's Life

The Spirit of God indwells every believer, marking them as God's own and enabling them to live a life pleasing to Him.
