Definition and Concept:
Exaltation as a lifestyle refers to the practice of consistently elevating and glorifying God in every aspect of one's life. It involves living in a manner that reflects the majesty and holiness of God, acknowledging His sovereignty, and seeking to honor Him through thoughts, words, and actions. This lifestyle is characterized by humility, worship, and a commitment to living according to God's will.

Biblical Foundation:
The concept of exaltation is deeply rooted in Scripture, where believers are called to glorify God in all things. Psalm 34:3 invites believers to, "Magnify the LORD with me; let us exalt His name together." This verse emphasizes the communal aspect of exaltation, encouraging believers to join together in lifting up the name of the Lord.

In the New Testament, the Apostle Paul exhorts believers to live lives that exalt God. In 1 Corinthians 10:31 , he writes, "So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all to the glory of God." This instruction underscores the idea that every action, no matter how mundane, can be an act of worship and exaltation when done with the right heart and intention.

Characteristics of an Exaltation Lifestyle:

1. Worship and Praise:
Worship is central to a lifestyle of exaltation. Believers are encouraged to engage in both personal and corporate worship, lifting their voices in praise and adoration. Psalm 145:1-2 declares, "I will exalt You, my God and King; I will bless Your name forever and ever. Every day I will bless You, and I will praise Your name forever and ever."

2. Humility:
Exaltation of God requires humility, recognizing that He is greater than all. James 4:10 instructs, "Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will exalt you." This humility is not self-deprecating but rather an acknowledgment of God's supreme authority and grace.

3. Obedience:
Living a life that exalts God involves obedience to His commandments. Jesus said in John 14:15 , "If you love Me, you will keep My commandments." Obedience is a tangible expression of love and reverence for God, demonstrating a desire to honor Him above all else.

4. Service:
Serving others is a practical way to exalt God. By following Jesus' example of servanthood, believers reflect His character and bring glory to His name. Matthew 5:16 encourages, "In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."

5. Proclamation:
Sharing the gospel and proclaiming God's goodness is an essential aspect of exaltation. Believers are called to testify to God's greatness and His work in their lives. 1 Peter 2:9 states, "But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, to proclaim the virtues of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light."

Challenges and Encouragement:
Living a lifestyle of exaltation can be challenging in a world that often promotes self-exaltation and pride. However, believers are encouraged to persevere, knowing that their efforts to glorify God are not in vain. Galatians 6:9 offers encouragement: "Let us not grow weary in well-doing, for in due time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."

Ultimately, exaltation as a lifestyle is about aligning one's life with the purposes and character of God, seeking to make His name known and revered in all the earth.
