They are often synonymous with "Christians" and are characterized by their acceptance of the gospel message and commitment to living according to the teachings of the Bible. The term "students" in this context can refer to those who diligently study the Scriptures to grow in their understanding and faith.

Biblical Foundation:
The concept of believers is rooted in the New Testament, where faith in Jesus Christ is central to salvation. In Acts 16:31, Paul and Silas declare, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household." This belief is not merely intellectual assent but involves trust and reliance on Christ for salvation.

Characteristics of Believers:
Believers are described in the Bible as those who have been transformed by their faith. In 2 Corinthians 5:17, it is written, "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come!"
