Psalms 136:1-22 ▼

1 Give thanks to YHWH, for He is good, for His loving devotion is forever;

2 Give thanks to the God of gods, for His loving devotion is forever;

3 Give thanks to the Lord of lords, for His loving devotion is forever;

4 to the One doing great wonders by Himself alone, for His loving devotion is forever;

5 to the One making the heavens with understanding, for His loving devotion is forever;

6 to the One spreading out the earth upon the waters, for His loving devotion is forever;

7 to the One making great the lights—for His loving devotion is forever—

8 the sun for ruling over the day, for His loving devotion is forever;

9 the moon and stars for ruling over the night, for His loving devotion is forever;

10 to the one striking Egypt, against their firstborn, for His loving devotion is forever.

11 And He brought forth Israel from their midst, for His loving devotion is forever;

12 with a strong hand and an outstretched arm, for His loving devotion is forever;

13 to the One dividing the Red sea into parts, for His loving devotion is forever.

14 And He made Israel pass through the midst of it, for His loving devotion is forever;

15 and He shook off Pharaoh and his army into the Red Sea, for His loving devotion is forever;

16 to the One leading His people through the wilderness, for His loving devotion is forever;

17 to the One striking great kings, for His loving devotion is forever.

18 And He killed mighty kings, for His loving devotion is forever;

19 Sihon king of the Amorite, for His loving devotion is forever;

20 and Og king of Bashan, for His loving devotion is forever;

21 and He gave their land as an inheritance—for His loving devotion is forever;

22 an inheritance to Israel His servant, for His loving devotion is forever;
