1 And He said to them, "Verily I say to you, there are some of those standing here, who shall not taste of death, till they see the Kingdom of God come with power." 2 And after six days Jesus taketh with Him Peter, and James, and John, and bringeth them up into a high mountain apart by themselves; and He was transfigured before them. 3 And His garments became shining, exceedingly white, such as no fuller on the earth can so whiten. 4 And there appeared to them Elijah with Moses; and they were talking with Jesus. 5 And Peter, answering, says to Jesus, "Rabbi, it is good that we are here; and let us make three tents; one for Thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah;" 6 for he knew not what to answer, for they became much afraid. 7 And there came a cloud overshadowing them; and there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, "This is My Son, the Beloved; hear ye Him."
