1 And YHWH spoke to Moses, saying, 2 “Command the sons of Israel that they bring to you pure olive oil, pressed, for the light, to make the lamps to go up continually. 3 Outside the veil of the Testimony, in the Tent of Meeting, Aaron shall arrange it from evening until morning before the face of YHWH continually; it is an everlasting statute in your? generations. 4 On the pure gold lampstand He shall arrange the lamps before the face of YHWH continually. 5 And you shall take fine flour and bake with it two and ten cakes; two tenths of an ephah shall be one cake. 6 And you shall set them in two rows, six in a row, on the pure gold table before the face of YHWH. 7 And you shall put on each row pure frankincense, that it may be with the bread for a memorial, a fire offering to YHWH. 8 On the Sabbath day by Sabbath day he shall arrange it before the face of YHWH continually on behalf of the sons of Israel as an everlasting covenant. 9 And it shall be for Aaron and his sons, and they shall eat it in a holy place. For it is holy of holies to him from the fire offerings of YHWH—an everlasting statute.” 10 And a son of a woman, an Israelitess, went out (and he the son of an Egyptian man) in the midst of the sons of Israel. And this son of the Israelitess and a man of the Israelites fought each other in the camp. 11 And the son of the woman, the Israelitess, blasphemed the Name and cursed. And they brought him to Moses. And His mother’s name was Shelomith daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan. 12 And they put him in custody, that it might be shown to them upon the mouth of YHWH. 13 And YHWH spoke to Moses, saying, 14 “Take him who has cursed to the outside of the camp, and let all who heard him lay their hands on his head, and let all the congregation stone him. 15 And you shall speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘If any man curses his God, then he shall bear his sin. 16 And whoever blasphemes the name of YHWH must surely be put to death. All the congregation must surely stone him, as the sojourner, as the native; when he blasphemes the name he shall be put to death. 17 And whoever kills any man, he must surely be put to death. 18 And he who kills an animal shall make it good—the life of animal for animal.
