John 14:1-18 ▼

1 “ Let not your? heart be troubled. You? believe in God; believe also in Me.

2 In My Father’s house are many dwelling places. And if not so, would I have told you? that I am going to prepare a place for you??

3 And if I go and prepare a place for you?, I am coming again, and I will receive you? to Myself, so that where I am, you? may be also.

4 And you? know the way to where I am going.”

5 Thomas says to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going; how can we know the way?”

6 Jesus says to him, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father if not through Me.

7 If you? had known Me, you? would also have known My Father. From now, you? know Him and have seen Him.”

8 Philip says to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.”

9 Jesus says to him, “Am I with you? so long a time, and you have not known Me, Philip? The one having seen Me has seen the Father. How do you say, ‘Show us the Father’?

10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me? The words that I speak to you? I do not speak from Myself; but the Father dwelling in Me does His works.

11 Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me; but if not, believe because of the works themselves.

12 Truly, truly, I say to you?, the one believing in Me, the works that I do, he will also do. And he will do greater than these, because I am going to the Father.

13 And whatever you? might ask in My name, this I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

14 If you? ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.

15 If you? love Me, you? will keep My commandments.

16 And I will ask the Father, and He will give you? another Advocate so that He may be with you? to the age—

17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world is not able to receive, because it does not see Him, nor does it know Him. But you? know Him, for He abides with you? and will be in you?.

18 I will not leave you? as orphans; I am coming to you?.
