23 And for this people there is a stubborn and rebellious heart; they have turned aside and gone away, 24 and they do not say in their heart, ‘Let us now fear YHWH our God, the One giving rain, the spring rain, and the autumn rain in its season, and the weeks appointed for the harvest He keeps for us. 25 Your? iniquities have stretched away these things, and your? sins have withheld the good from you?. 26 For wicked ones are found among My people; they keep watch like crouching fowlers; they set a trap; they capture men. 27 Like a cage full of birds, so their houses are full of deceit; upon thus they have become great and grown rich, 28 they have grown fat; they are sleek. Yes, they surpass the deeds of the wicked; they do not judge justly the cause of the fatherless, and they prosper, and the justice of the needy ones they have not vindicated. 29 Shall I not punish for these things?” A declaration of YHWH, “Should not My soul avenge itself against a nation such as this? 30 An appalling and horrible thing has happened in the land: 31 The prophets prophesy with deception, and the priests rule by their own hands; and My people love it so, and what will you? do in the end?
