1 Therefore, brothers and sisters, in view of the mercies of God, I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God; this is your true worship. I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.
2 Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
3 For by the grace given to me, I tell everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he should think. Instead, think sensibly, as God has distributed a measure of faith to each one. For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned. For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you.
4 Now as we have many parts in one body, and all the parts do not have the same function, For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function,
5 in the same way we who are many are one body in Christ and individually members of one another. so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.
6 According to the grace given to us, we have different gifts: If prophecy, use it according to the proportion of one’s faith; Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith;
7 if service, use it in service; if teaching, in teaching; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach;
8 if exhorting, in exhortation; giving, with generosity; leading, with diligence; showing mercy, with cheerfulness. the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness. if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.
9 Let love be without hypocrisy. Detest evil; cling to what is good. Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.
10 Love one another deeply as brothers and sisters. Take the lead in honoring one another. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.
11 Do not lack diligence in zeal; be fervent in the Spirit; serve the Lord. Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.
12 Rejoice in hope; be patient in affliction; be persistent in prayer. Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
13 Share with the saints in their needs; pursue hospitality. Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality. Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.
14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.
15 Rejoice with those who rejoice; weep with those who weep. Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.

19 Friends, do not avenge yourselves; instead, leave room for God’s wrath, because it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord. Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord.
20 But If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him something to drink. For in so doing you will be heaping fiery coals on his head. To the contrary, “if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.” On the contrary: “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.”
21 Do not be conquered by evil, but conquer evil with good. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
