TO the angel of the church of Eph'esus write: These things says the Omnipotent; who holds the seven stars in his right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks; “To the angel of the church in Ephesus write: ‘The words of him who holds the seven stars in his right hand, who walks among the seven golden lampstands. “To the angel of the church in Ephesus write: These are the words of him who holds the seven stars in his right hand and walks among the seven golden lampstands.
I know your works, and your labour, and your patience, and how you cannot endure those who are ungodly: you have tried those who say they are apostles, and are not, and you have found them liars: “‘I know your works, your toil and your patient endurance, and how you cannot bear with those who are evil, but have tested those who call themselves apostles and are not, and found them to be false. I know your deeds, your hard work and your perseverance. I know that you cannot tolerate wicked people, that you have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not, and have found them false.
And you have patience, and you have borne burdens for my name’s sake, and have not wearied. I know you are enduring patiently and bearing up for my name’s sake, and you have not grown weary. You have persevered and have endured hardships for my name, and have not grown weary.
Nevertheless I have something against you, because you have left your first love. But I have this against you, that you have abandoned the love you had at first. Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken the love you had at first.
Remember therefore from whence you have fallen and repent and do the first works; or else I will come to you very soon, and I will remove your candlestick from its place except you repent. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent, and do the works you did at first. If not, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent. Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place.
But this you have in your favour, you hate the works of the Nic-o-la’i-tanes, which I also hate. Yet this you have: you hate the works of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate. But you have this in your favor: You hate the practices of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.
He who has ears, let him hear what the Spirit says unto the churches: To him who overcomes, I will give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of my God. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who conquers I will grant to eat of the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.’ Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.
And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write, These things says the first and the last, which was dead and is alive: “And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write: ‘The words of the first and the last, who died and came to life. “To the angel of the church in Smyrna write: These are the words of him who is the First and the Last, who died and came to life again.
I know your works and your suffering and poverty, but you are rich, and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews, and are not, but are of the synagogue of Satan. “‘I know your tribulation and your poverty (but you are rich) and the slander of those who say that they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. I know your afflictions and your poverty—yet you are rich! I know about the slander of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.
Fear none of those things which you shall suffer: behold, the devil will cast some of you into prison, that you be tried; and you will be oppressed for ten days: be faithful even to death, and I will give you a crown of life. Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and for ten days you will have tribulation. Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life. Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you life as your victor’s crown.
He who has ears, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches; He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. The one who conquers will not be hurt by the second death.’ Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. The one who is victorious will not be hurt at all by the second death.
And to the angel of the church in Per’gamos write: These things says he who has the sharp two-edged sword; “And to the angel of the church in Pergamum write: ‘The words of him who has the sharp two-edged sword. “To the angel of the church in Pergamum write: These are the words of him who has the sharp, double-edged sword.
I know your works and where you dwell even where Satan’s seat is: And you uphold my name, and you did not deny my faith, even in those days when that witness of mine appeared, that faithful one of mine who was slain among you, where Satan dwells. “‘I know where you dwell, where Satan’s throne is. Yet you hold fast my name, and you did not deny my faith even in the days of Antipas my faithful witness, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells. I know where you live—where Satan has his throne. Yet you remain true to my name. You did not renounce your faith in me, not even in the days of Antipas, my faithful witness, who was put to death in your city—where Satan lives.
But I have a few things against you, because you have there those who hold the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit adultery. But I have a few things against you: you have some there who hold the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the sons of Israel, so that they might eat food sacrificed to idols and practice sexual immorality. Nevertheless, I have a few things against you: There are some among you who hold to the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to entice the Israelites to sin so that they ate food sacrificed to idols and committed sexual immorality.
And also you have those among you who hold to the teaching of the Nic-o-la’i-tanes. So also you have some who hold the teaching of the Nicolaitans. Likewise, you also have those who hold to the teaching of the Nicolaitans.
Repent; or else I will come to you very soon, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth. Therefore repent. If not, I will come to you soon and war against them with the sword of my mouth. Repent therefore! Otherwise, I will soon come to you and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.
He who has ears, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches; To him who overcomes, I will give to eat of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written, which no man knows except he who receives it. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who conquers I will give some of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone, with a new name written on the stone that no one knows except the one who receives it.’ Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give that person a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to the one who receives it.
And unto the angel of the church in Thya- ti’ra write: These things says the Son of God, who has eyes like unto a flame of fire, and whose feet are like fine brass from Lebanon; “And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write: ‘The words of the Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire, and whose feet are like burnished bronze. “To the angel of the church in Thyatira write: These are the words of the Son of God, whose eyes are like blazing fire and whose feet are like burnished bronze.
I know your works, and love and faith, and service, and also your patience; and your last works are to be more abundant than the first. “‘I know your works, your love and faith and service and patient endurance, and that your latter works exceed the first. I know your deeds, your love and faith, your service and perseverance, and that you are now doing more than you did at first.
Notwithstanding I have a few things against you, because you allowed that woman of yours Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication and to eat things sacrificed to idols. But I have this against you, that you tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess and is teaching and seducing my servants to practice sexual immorality and to eat food sacrificed to idols. Nevertheless, I have this against you: You tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophet. By her teaching she misleads my servants into sexual immorality and the eating of food sacrificed to idols.
And I gave her time to repent, but she did not repent from her fornication. I gave her time to repent, but she refuses to repent of her sexual immorality. I have given her time to repent of her immorality, but she is unwilling.
Behold I will cast her into a sick bed and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds. Behold, I will throw her onto a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her I will throw into great tribulation, unless they repent of her works, So I will cast her on a bed of suffering, and I will make those who commit adultery with her suffer intensely, unless they repent of her ways.
And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he who searches the reins and hearts: and I will give unto everyone of you according to your works. and I will strike her children dead. And all the churches will know that I am he who searches mind and heart, and I will give to each of you according to your works. I will strike her children dead. Then all the churches will know that I am he who searches hearts and minds, and I will repay each of you according to your deeds.
But I say unto you, the rest of you in Thy-a-ti’ra, those of you who do not have this doctrine, and those who have not known, as they say, the depths of Satan, that I will not put upon you another burden. But to the rest of you in Thyatira, who do not hold this teaching, who have not learned what some call the deep things of Satan, to you I say, I do not lay on you any other burden. Now I say to the rest of you in Thyatira, to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets, ‘I will not impose any other burden on you,
But hold fast to that which you already have till I come. Only hold fast what you have until I come. except to hold on to what you have until I come.’
And he who overcomes, and keeps my works unto the end, to him I will give authority over the nations: The one who conquers and who keeps my works until the end, to him I will give authority over the nations, To the one who is victorious and does my will to the end, I will give authority over the nations—
And he shall shepherd them with a rod of iron; like the vessels of the potter, they shall be shattered: even as I was disciplined by my Father. and he will rule them with a rod of iron, as when earthen pots are broken in pieces, even as I myself have received authority from my Father. that one ‘will rule them with an iron scepter and will dash them to pieces like pottery’ —just as I have received authority from my Father.
And I will give him the morning star. And I will give him the morning star. I will also give that one the morning star.
He who has ears, let him hear what the Spirit says unto the churches. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’ Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
