1 A psalm for David himself. Sing ye to the Lord anew canticle: because he hath done wonderful things. His right hand hath wrought for him salvation, and his arm is holy. Oh sing to the LORD a new song, for he has done marvelous things! His right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him. A psalm. 2 The Lord hath made known his salvation: he hath revealed his justice in the sight of the Gentiles. The LORD has made known his salvation; he has revealed his righteousness in the sight of the nations. The LORD has made his salvation known and revealed his righteousness to the nations.
3 He hath remembered his mercy his truth toward the house of Israel. All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God. He has remembered his steadfast love and faithfulness to the house of Israel. All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God. He has remembered his love and his faithfulness to Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
4 Sing joyfully to God, all the earth; make melody, rejoice and sing. Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth; break forth into joyous song and sing praises! Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music;
5 Sing praise to the Lord on the harp, on the harp, and with the voice of a psalm: Sing praises to the LORD with the lyre, with the lyre and the sound of melody! make music to the LORD with the harp, with the harp and the sound of singing,
6 with long trumpets, and sound of comet. Make a joyful noise before the Lord our king: With trumpets and the sound of the horn make a joyful noise before the King, the LORD! with trumpets and the blast of the ram’s horn— shout for joy before the LORD, the King.
7 let the sea be moved and the fulness thereof: the world end they that dwell therein. Let the sea roar, and all that fills it; the world and those who dwell in it! Let the sea resound, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.
8 The rivers shall clap their hands, the mountains shall rejoice together Let the rivers clap their hands; let the hills sing for joy together Let the rivers clap their hands, let the mountains sing together for joy;
9 at the presence of the Lord: because he cometh to judge the earth. He shall judge the world with justice, and the people with equity. before the LORD, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with equity. let them sing before the LORD, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples with equity.
