1 Come let us praise the Lord with joy: let us joyfully sing to God our saviour. Oh come, let us sing to the LORD; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.
2 Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving; and make a joyful noise to him with psalms. Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise! Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.
3 For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods. For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods. For the LORD is the great God, the great King above all gods.
4 For in his hand are all the ends of the earth: and the heights of the mountains are his. In his hand are the depths of the earth; the heights of the mountains are his also. In his hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to him.
5 For the sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land. The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land. The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land.
6 Come let us adore and fall down: and weep before the Lord that made us. Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the LORD, our Maker! Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker;
7 For he is the Lord our God: and we are the people of his pasture and the sheep of his hand. For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. 8 To day if you shall hear his voice, harden not your hearts: do not harden your hearts, as at Meribah, as on the day at Massah in the wilderness, “Do not harden your hearts as you did at Meribah, as you did that day at Massah in the wilderness,
9 As in the provocation, according to the day of temptation in the wilderness: where your fathers tempted me, they proved me, and saw my works. when your fathers put me to the test and put me to the proof, though they had seen my work. where your ancestors tested me; they tried me, though they had seen what I did.
10 Forty years long was I offended with that generation, and I said: These always err in heart. For forty years I loathed that generation and said, “They are a people who go astray in their heart, and they have not known my ways.” For forty years I was angry with that generation; I said, ‘They are a people whose hearts go astray, and they have not known my ways.’
11 And these men have not known my ways: so I swore in my wrath that they shall not enter into my rest. Therefore I swore in my wrath, “They shall not enter my rest.” So I declared on oath in my anger, ‘They shall never enter my rest.’”
